MP5 is a bit too pointy? Anyone else agree?

I'm not yet sure if I like your style or not but I must say that you made really nice wood on M79.

The M79 "Wombat Gun"

: D

If I can't find another gun for the AK besides an M4, I will make it an M4 Grenade launcher (cause the M79 is really old and probably boring)
That's a bigass M79. Lookin good.

I know Im not happy with my style either.

I was planning on scrapping everything I know about modding and starting over.  I'll try kinda re-styling the weapons so they match more but if im unsucessful then ill start over.  (Although I do kinda like the shading...)

aside from the scale of your weapons, the only thing I see wrong with any of them is the MP5's stock. MAYBE the foregrip, but the stock definitely. MP5 retractable stocks do not have a flat edge. And actually, now that I see the pic of your Steyr in your sig, you screwed up the steyr stock too. It's not supposed to end in a straight vertical line. if you haven't already done so, I suggest you go to www.worldguns.ru to see what they really look like. And the trigger/pistol grip guard looks too rounded on the Steyr, too.

does it really matter -.-

These things are so subliminal, and the mod isnt even directly aimed towards realism.  Besides I would have to use even more alpha-T pixels to make the steyr angled on the end of the stock, and using alpha-T just makes it even more of a pain :|  (im only using it in some places here and there, not for complete Anti-aliasing)

Well no, they're not that important, but if you're gonna put time into it, why not do it right? And why exactly would you have to do alpha-transparency? I could easily do it without that...

Now back on topic.  I'm going through the painstaking process of restyling the guns'.  Don't expect any updates for a while.

So HairTrigger, you never answered my question. why do you require alpha-transparency to make a diagonal line as opposed to a straight vertical one?

maybe,.... maybe because he likes how it looks. We all work on our mods in different ways and this is his way. No need to get an explanation.

Okay, fine. so we all do mods in different ways. I'm well aware of that. That's been my point since I started modding, when Espadon and pafel gave me hell for not having shaded my guns. But that doesn't answer my question.

He said he would HAVE TO use alpha transparency... But that's not true. you can make a diagonal line without it. He didn't say "I want to" use alpha transparency, he said he'd need it.

That's fine, I don't have to have an answer, I'm just curious. But apparently there's something wrong with curiosity and asking questions..

Well im just a fan of the occasional AA here and there just to brush things up a bit and make it a little cleaner.  But most of my alpha tansperancy efforts go towards small (but nessecary in my opinion) details.  And example is the SR-25, notice I have single pixel bits sticking out of the front grip but they aren't black pixels, because if they were it would be an exaggeration of th gun, and I cant not have them because it simply doesnt work like that, so I have in-between (half transperant pixels)  I try to avoid it as much as possible whilst still getting a fairly 'smooth' look on my guns. It also helps when I'm making a long barely noticeable slope, and want it to look like so.

It depends if I feel like doing it :/

I just found a reason for my lacking in comitment:

I was following pretty much all of these guidelines.  Thanks MM ;) might try and get on track now.
