Do you read?

Unless you're an illegal Mexican immigrant who found their way into Australia, or just a retard, then you should possess this skill.

So, post up some of your favourite books.

A few of my favourites:
  • The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher (I liked all 9)
  • Ice Station, Area 7 and Scarecrow by Matthew Reilly (or anything else by him)
  • Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling (only the first five)

Obviously I didn't go pouring out all the books I enjoy, but I definetly recommend The Dresden Files and anything by Matthew Reilly

NOTE: No comics, e-comics, 4chan failstories, etc.

Márquez' One Hundred Years of Solitude.

Hesse's Steppenwolf.

Someone recently recommended Thomas Mann's The Tables of the Law, should be a fine read too, and it's more of a long-shortstory than a novel.

The Postman  -Not sure who wrote it, just look it up on a library computer and get the post-apocalyptic-looking one.

The Green Mile - Stephen King

Count of Monte Cristo, Scarlet Pimpernel. Had to read these both in high school but I finished them both early and would read them again if I could find them.

Oh and duh... this I have just started it myself.

edit

Dragonlance series - Wise and Hickman (None of that 3rd party writer bull crap that they have out there, just what Wise and Hickman wrote)
Listen to this, I picked up a random Dragonlance book from the closet to read while on the john, I got about halfway through just couldn't take it anymore.... screw you Knaak.

Immensely entertaining, although the ideas aren't as profound as the author wants us to believe.

Anyone read Lord of the Flies?
Nope
but teenagers are coming back to their dark drives
sounds pretty cool
how was it?

Potsdamer Platz - Buddy Giovinazzo Just a great gangster book about Berlin
Tony Scott will make a movie of it
Naked Lunch - William S. Burroughs If You are a really strange person
Also as a Movie by David Cronenberg
Jeremiah - L.T. LeRoy Damn sad story
Movie - The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things
Wind On Fire Trilogy - William Nicholson Fantasy

These are the best books I have read
but I would like to recommend the author "Ian Ranking"
