Heh, I bought and finished off Six Sacred Stones when it came out (sequal to Seven Ancient Wonders).

Great book, but it ends off in a f***ing CLIFFHANGER. At least we know that there will be another sequal.

matthew reily's books are alright, but theres so much AND THEN THIS HAPPENED BUT WHATHISFACE HAD THIS ON HIS BELT SO IT WASN'T EVEN AN ISSUE

as well as that he includes little homo maps that mean jack... a real writer would be able to explain the whole thing without them

The Tomorrow Series by John Marsden (a series of 7 books)

Awesome series by an Australian writer. Girlfriend let me borrow her copies last week. Now I'm hooked.

Basically, it's about 7 teens from an Australia country town who go camping in the bush for a couple weeks, and when they go back to their town, they discover that their country has been invaded, their whole town either imprisoned or gunned down. So they end up fighting with guerrilla-esque tactics, blowing up stuff and crap.

Nice little read (all 300x7 pages of it), but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who couldn't stand a female 'narrator' telling the story. Full of PMS.

What's funny, though, is that the nation that invaded Australia is not actually specified, and they're written in a way that doesn't point to one nation in particular. It's like the writer didn't want to be racist

So basically its a complete ripoff of Red Dawn, except on Kangaroo Island.

I'm reading Pendragon by DJ MacHale. So far 9/10 have been written. Its good, but a little young. Eragon by Christopher Paolini is also ok, but also young. I also liked Flags of our Fathers (John Bradley) and Inside Delta Force (I have no clue my friend borrowed and destroyed the book)

anyhow, i've read a couple of books.. was nice, understood the message when there was one, but honestly it didn't made me want to keep going and read some more.
if you can honestly enjoy a book more than watching a good, entertaining movie than it's logical. if you don't, and you read just to make yourself or others think you're more intelligent (or will become more intelligent) you're actually an idiot.

i for example, enjoy watching a good movie much more than reading, and it's not because i cannot SEE what the writer wrote about, it's because it's simply more entertaining for me, hence i don't read. therefore it got nothing to do with a skill i don't have or anything alike.

you can read all of the finest writing masterpieces ever made, understand them, the meaning, hidden message and all, and still stay a retard.

but just to stay on-topic; lord of the flies is the book that entertained me the most.
