Modding question

I have changed the explosion's color to blue and some other bullets and gun fire .
Before those changes my soldat was working perfectly . Now it's the old "Lobby server is not responding" .

And no , my connection is all right (i wouldn't have posted this without it )

So my question is ,will changing the gfx and the other files that end up with .bmp or .png  affect the Internet connection to the lobby server ?

No, GFX changes are completely unrelated, and the reason as to why you might be unable to reach the lobby can be found here. (Or at the very least, the most likely for the moment being.)
