Strategic victory
« on: July 24, 2006, 09:49:51 am »
This mode is as little bit like that strategic victory mode in The Outfit.

Ok so each team has one base spot (could be like a little colored area or a flag or something) and there's 3 neutral bases. The team that captures all the neutral bases or just captures the enemy's  base wins.

You capture bases by killing off any enemies near the base and then just wait there for like 10 seconds.

You can spawn in any of the captured bases.

eh eh?
I'm away.

variations of this have been suggested a lot , It's a mode I'd really like to see in the next version.

I have to agree. A mode that encourages teamwork in a game that has very lackful amounts of it? Completely down with it.

Sounds similar to UT's Onslaught mode (with a couple of obvious differences, such as linking, and destroying before capturing enemy held bases). I think this would be a blast, especially with a group of decent players. 8)

Makes me think of Advance Wars. :) It would be neat if the game could somehow have a group of two bots attached to each base. Kill them both and claim the base, and the bots respawn as your teammates and will defend the base for you. Stick a stationary gun on each base. Sounds lots of fun. :)

yeah sounds cool kinda like swbf and battlefield. hopefully it would stop those people in ctf and inf who just run unassisted into the other teams bases and  just get blown back to your base as a pile goo.  ;D
