Hello, I gues you don't have to steal the ideas from soldat. Maybe you can make a other game like soldat but then not with same pictures and other files.
I can give you the following ideas:
- Make a nice builded website first: maybe like www.AoN-Clan.6x.to all builded incluided (php-fusion.co.uk - for downloading)
- Make ranks for every player so we can fight for the best place in whole world on soldat! (based by kills and deaths)
- put in the menu like you've on soldat (Options, players, play with, close) with somme good sounds like: if you click on sommething it says 'poink'
- Put a nice default music for in the menu so it isn't quiet ingame.
- Put a lobby chat (Europe & sub category: Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, ... with each 5 Country administrators)
- Make a friendlist category so all people can add eachother if they want to.

Hey, don't be hatin on Game Maker. I have it. It's a fun little toy. Some independent designers do some nifty stuff with Game Maker. I loved Deathworm for it's simplicity and it was addictively fun.

If you're going to make a Soldat type game, make a PBBG (Persistent Browser Based Game) one. Much easier and much less knowledge is needed, all of the internet failures are doing it.
