Hi. This is my first attempt at making a mod for Soldat and working with pixels. The mod is based on non-fictional modern weapons. It's currently a work in progress and will only feature Interface-gfx Guns for now.

Do not fear. you are clearly one of the more skilled first timers..

All I can say is maybe not have the black line going through in the middle of the AK, make it lighter (but still darker than the colours around it) and it will seem more like an indent. (Like the sniper rifle in my sig, it has this technique)

You should show the actual sizes too, just so we know what to expect when the mod is released. (Save as .png if you are having problems with the picture quality)

Yeah you just have to show us the real screenshots. not zomed in please : D

but they do seem pretty good. Improve your shading a little maybe and work on outlines and stuff

Just a tip, when u are saving pixel art (such as guns made in ms paint) save them as a .PNG or a .BMP It doesnt make the pixels all fuzzy and ugly...

It makes them much easier to see. Also use .PNG or .BMP to make them clear, like ace said. But I think some image uploaders (Like TinyPic) convert them from .BMP back to bad quality .jpg when you try to upload a .bmp so .PNG is probably the way to go

Either show screenshots of what the guns look like when you have implemented them into soldat or show us the original files you saved into whatever program

And if you don't know how to take a screenshot the button is 'Print Screen' it should be up near your Scroll Lock, F12 and insert keys...
Once you have pressed the button, you can go into a program, such as Photoshop or Paint, and press CTRL+V.. To paste the screenshot

Dude.. if you dont show the in-game shots you might aswell shove it up your arse. I doubt you will get as many downloads if people dont see what the weapons really look like. Besides if you do give us real sizes we can use them in-game before the release to test brightness and size issues. Then the outcome will only be better. of course we will also give you more accurate advice aswell.

It hasnt changed..

he just showed what they would really look like. I dont mind the shapes at all its really good. But have a little more 'definition' or contrast in your shading, you kinda stuck with a light pallette and put brighter in the middle and moved out getting darker.
So it wouldnt hurt to shade darker around the edges maybe.

I can't shade right because my monitor's screwed up...

Even on the brightest setting everything seems darker than it should be.

I'll work on the shading.

I don't think I changed style...

So far so good, Krack. I have one complaint though. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a silencer or not on your Enfield L85A1, but the barrel looks too fat and too long. If it's a silencer though, then I guess it's okay, but I'd still make it shorter. But hey, this is your mod, not mine. And I don't intend to give you hell for not doing something the way I would, unlike some people around here.

Oh, and nice VZ-61 Skorpion, by the way. I had plans to expand my Rogue Spear mod and include one, but all I ever got around to making was a few interface graphics.

And I have a request... PLEASE don't put all your time and effort into the damn interface graphics. Take some time to make decent in-game sprites too.

Nice M79 however the wooden handle/stock should be thinner.Â The Rocket launcher (M79 law..?) is great but I think you have the front barrel on the wrong end but I wouldnt know.Â Work on the shapes of the pistols..Â they look like tazers

I know that by saying this I may be overstepping my boundaries.. but make sure you keep improving, try not to stay on one level the whole time.Â Your updated weapons are much nicer, and they show significant improvement of course but your squareish pistols remain the same (at least provide names so we know what your trying to make and wether or not they are supposed to be square..) Just keep up that work.

As for the desert eagle, Square off the end a bit and the front lower half of the grip.Â pix
