Personally, I don't agree with the idea of these kinds of threads. I really wish people didn't create them because whether they wanted to or not, it will piss off certain kinds of people and cause controversy. A complete total waste of time. If they really want to talk religion, they should find some IRC channel dedicated to Jesus freaks or some shit.

I actually agree with you, Ben.

It's a good debate, but they usually end up being spammed in the end.

If it must be banned, make it a rule like prohibiting of posting anything relates to Naruto.

It's not going to be banned, so best would be to just ignore it.  Or if you're feeling happy, spam in it and it force a mod to lock it.  But seriously, just ignore them.

Religious threads? Well... here's what I think of them:

1. Any threads of religion ALWAYS end up in the same direction. (especially debates)

2. It is very possible to cause controversy, flame, etc.

Well, I wouldn't mind a few religious topics here and there, as long as they are all kept nice and tidy and not too many of them around. But if it turns into a debate, then it should be locked. Whatever it is, if religion must really be discussed, as jrgp suggested, should be discussed elsewhere in a IRC channel or something.

It's a good debate...
...between 4-5 people max.

Can we end the "what are you listening to right now" threads? they just generate spam and nobody cares which metalica song jgrp is listening to.

I will have to agree with that, those threads really serve no use.  If you're going to discuss Religion, at least you can learn something become actively involved.  With those listening threads, people just post their for the fun of it, it's like who can post the most.  So yeah, serves no use...

I dunno, in all honesty the spam threads are pretty productive, at least everyone gets along.

I mean all god threads do is server a place where people can call other people's religion absolute rubbish.

All they do is argue which god is better really. I know I don't learn anything from them.
Lol, internets.

I think we can all agree that the "what are you listening to" threads are just about retarded and redundant; by the time someone's read what you've posted you're already listening to a different piece of music.

Mangled isn't some debating genius. Just a guy that doesn't shut up. No offense.

Mangled's effectiveness can be compared to a broken record player. The only reason he seems to be so swell at debating is because you're all idiots. It's like those key chains that read "How do you keep a blonde entertained? Flip this over to find out ->" on both sides. You forumgoers just can't seem to get enough of being called an idiot in any way, shape or form.

It's like candy to you. Candy. And Mangled is the internet-bully version of Willy Wonka.
