This is 1.4.2 still, where Minimi got a buff

IIRC, the Minimi was nurfed in 1.4.2 (though not by much), the only buff it may have got was less self-bink. It definatly had its damage weakend.

But seriously, right now, its on the verge of being overpowered. But the boost its gonna get in 1.5.0 is surely going to make it overpowered.

 I don't know if the bullet push reduction is going to make it weaker or stronger though.

It depends on the situation; but overall I'd say it's a nerf, since it's less usefull against M79s.

It wasn't changed in 1.4.2 and all it got in 1.4.1 was two units less selfbink.

Uh oh, I just realized it's buffed more than just the bink reduction according to the latest one so far I've got called "Training". Which was quite along time ago, and we've not gotten any new updates about the new weapons, wonder if the balance has been set?

There hasn't been much tweaking since then since not even MM knows what gameplay changing features will be incorporated into 1.5, thus the balancing is put on stall until, at best, the second public beta.

It's not that over powered, I think it's fine. It's a very difficult weapon to use efficiently.

On the other hand, those saying that it's hardly used is complete BS. Minimi has been very popular as of late in Clan Wars and Gathers. Just because not everyone uses it and has their own preferences, doesn't mean it's not a popular weapon; because it is.

This was a nerf, IMO. The bink didn't really bother me (I could tap-fire so well, I tapped each bullet), but those 2 movementacc points ruined it's touch, I think.

Really, when this balance came out, the Minimi lost it's personality and started to become a slower, stronger version of the AK.

Unfortunately, the Minimi's former self is still not to be found in this balance... but it's a move in the right direction, IMO.

The Minimi is not overpowered. In no way is it cheap. This weapon rocks against OHK weapons, does alright against auto's, and is weak against semi-auto's, which is the way it should be if you think about it in the rock-paper-scissors kind of way.

Minimi's fine.  If you don't mind steyr and AK, then minimi is fine.  Cause it is similar to a cross between steyr and AK with enormous clip size and pretty hefty reload.

And in case you don't know, Charri, the rock paper scissors generally goes like...

Semi > Auto > Single shot > Semi > Auto > Single shot > Semi > Auto > Single shot > Semi > Auto > Single shot etc

I dunno about you all, but all I see it a strong buff.But I cant really judge if the gun is overpowered not without looking at other autos at least.

actually minimi IS overpwered but its rarely used on tw servers, idk why, but you can kill a minimi user easily with ak, just keep it far away, cause you will probably get headshoted in close range, and the biggest nerf on the minimi is the small amount of users, so it gets with the ammount of users balanced
btw. rugers also good vs minimi, just try get close to it, but avoid till then getting hitted, aim for the head

People needs constant reminder that their weapon is good for them to keep on using it. You see a lot of people picking up mp5 after getting their ass kicked, and they will try and use it but they would eventually lose because of the lack of skill. Then they will move on to a new weapon, unless another guy with mp5 reassures him the power of the weapon by kicking his ass once again.

Minimi is good, but the reason why it's not as popular as steyr is because of the lack of player base, so newbie would pick it up, find out that its hard, and leave it, before any reassurances happens.

I often find that the best gun vs the Minimi is the Ruger and Steyr. Though like any weapon, sometimes people would move to the Minimi when I kill them with it, but would then move to something like the Steyr or M79 once that fails.
