Okay, I've seen enough Soldat mod teasers and previews to make a teaser of my own upcoming mod.

First

I won't tell much about it, because you can understand a lot from the image.
And sorry for possible grammar mistakes...and those bullet holes.

If this gets some positive responses, I'll make more.

Basically, yes. Although it works a little bit different, because Barrett with Spas ammo would be way too powerful. It has some drawbacks. Also, this is more like an old hunting rifle with a scope.

If I were someone else coming in to this conversation, I'd say something along the lines of "You stop picking on Lord Frunkamunch; he could totally kick your ass in air hockey."

See, satirically it makes sense. After all, assuming you don't play air hockey, it's logical to assume that someone who plays it a lot would beat you, and you wouldn't really care because it's not really your thing. This situation is similar. Most of my past mods were rips and shrinks (which take a small amount of time to make) and were abandoned because I deemed them unworthy of what little time I had already invested in them. Gedazz, on the other hand, is perfectly fine with making a poster for every weapon he makes. So it's not really a fair comparison.

But I'm not another person. So I'll just say this: You're an asshat.

That's because there are no weapon images for the interface. I'm taking a different approach to the weapons interface. It's going to be similar to what I did with Soldat Pit, but more drastic.

not really. it doesn't really matter what kind of rifle you call it. all rifles are meant for some degree of accuracy. the name comes from the grooves inside the barrel that make the bullet spin as it goes thru the barrel. It's called rifling, and it makes the gun more accurate.

Go ahead and do what you want with your mod. I'm just saying it doesn't really make sense. To me, that matters, but apparently it doesn't to everybody, and that's fine.

yes, that is correct... and while they do have bolt action shotguns, they don't usually put a scope on a shotgun because shotguns are only effective from a short distance... that is due to the fact that buckshot(the ammo most used in shotguns) is made up of many little metal balls that explode in in a cone shape. The farther the BBs go, the larger the area of effect, and the less damage done because the bbs will lose velocity, and fewer will hit your target.

Well, Gedazz, that's what I'm here for, but very few seem to have noticed while the rest just camp outside my door with flamethrowers. To learn much more than I could ever tell you about guns, take a look at http://www.world.guns.ru/main-e.htm. It's a great site full of info including weight, length, caliber, rate of fire, mag capacity, history, and pictures of almost any gun made in the last century. It's a great reference for making mods.

Yes, only 4 classes/weapons, but this way it is easier to balance the mod.

It has that too. It has 'class based weapons.ini' and some graphical changes. Actually the 'class based weapons.ini' is the core of the mod. Basically this is Soldat Pit for zombie matches.
