This is a school comic? That makes it funnier than it actually is. Nice. Not half bad by the way. Is the blue bunny doing the pink bunny in the third scene?

Trying out Artgerm's multiply overlay linework method.. Works REALLY well. Can't believe I didn't figure it out earlier >.<

Put linework on layer set to multiply and paint under that layer. Multiply allows for opaque linework layers to act transparent. Multiply seems to assign black to 0 and white to 1 and then calculate white content versus black content when it filters the layers below. Black[0]xValueUnderneath[X] = 0, which equals black, so the linework on top remains. However, White[1]xValueUnderneath[X] = Value[X] so the white in the layer is as good as tranparent.

You ought to stick with photography, son. ;)

The main things though is that you can use that so to paint under linework even if it's an opaque layer [so you don't have to go through color->alpha which can be a bit restrictive at times]. It's just a faster method I guess, haha.

It should. Layer blending types should be the same for both programs. I know GIMP also groups layer blending styles by family so if it's not named multiply [highly doubt it] an equivalent should be near types like color burn.
