Ideas for a gamemode

Ehm... well... I just need some inspiration for a new gamemode to script... So, what would you be the most satiscfied of?

I was thinking about a ctf with protect the vip. only the vip can take the flag, etc etc

I arleady scripted the Protect the VIP script. I might make futher changes to it, like u said only he can take the flag etc.
Any more ideas?

Here is where brainstorming's at.

King of the hill? The team has to hold a designated area for a minute. If a player from both teams are in the designated area the timer freezes for the first team to enter the area. However if only one team occupy the area and they last a minute they gain a point. The other team would try and claim the hill by killing everyone in it and occupying it themselves (restartng the timer). Ofcourse after a team scores the designated area would move to a different location.

Never played UT... But probably =P Now I don't know pascal so I have no idea how you would script such a thing. I was merely offering ideas. I can see it being hard to choose the "designated areas" Maybe it could be marked by a polygon set to a certain colour. Or four pieces of scenery close together, or maybe an area around a yellow flag spawn point. Actually that might work well, Choose a yellow flag spawn point at random and generate a random shape around it and make it the target area, You'd need to outline the shape or shade it in with a semi transparent colour though. I really aren't sure how you would do it. I'm interested to see what you could come up with though.

I have seen script "King of the hill" in 1.3.1 ver something like year ago but in deathmatch mode. It was quite cool.

it may have been mine
i did make a dm version, along with a 2 team based one
those scripts are lost unfortunately

i did start another koth script, trying to make it as dynamic as possible for a koth script; but i never found enough time to work on it much
