Would you by any chance release an editor of some sort with the game?  It would be cool to make mods for it and stuff, aswell as maps and crazy things :)
That would be great. It could be like Phun, but with shooting :D

hey I watched some of your Demo vids on YouTube.  The particle engine is really cool, looks easy to use and I can see so many functions :D

We will change the particle engine to something really _big_ i will post here when we can show some impressions.
I recently improved the scene transitioning and added more eye candy.
Here is a video of it with two test scenes. This will do the transitions between different menus:

You will be able to change these transitions easily by editing the bitmask texture. Your self created transition effects - configurable enough? ;)

I just wanted to ask if there is still interest in getting some news about the development. A beta is scheduled to be ready at the end of the year...

Yes. Its planned that the network code is ready at this time and that it is possible to synchronize physics objects over the network (LAN and Xbox live). It will be far from a fun game to play but the important functions will be ready.
I also got  a chance to take a look at our new 3D models for the player. Seems like that you can choose between 5 different characters each with some unique ability.

This has been buried for quite some time. I'm glad to hear that it's stil being worked on; I'd all but condemned it to the "awesome project dead due to time and effort" pile of my mind.

You talk like there's a team working with you. If you don't mind me asking, who all is working on it? Do you guys have a website yet?

Yes, i have found an investor who pays the development. You can be pretty sure that this project will be finished :)

I'll try to post a video of a testlevel that shows how the physics engine is synchronized on different clients over LAN within the next week.

Did i mention that the player can choose from different kinds of robots with unique features instead of always the same looking soldier? :)
Here is an early screenshot of the first one:

Hope you like it,

This looks pretty cool man.

Also, you get +1 internets for using the Megadeth Duke Nukem theme

Okay, networking is basically working. You can host and join sessions and run through the map with multiple gamers. It's too early to make a video of that so i decided to make a photo of one of the playable robots rendered on the xbox.

That looks awesome. I would like to see some more video, though. I wonder how those things will work. Are they normal player-sized, or are they how I'm thinking, huge fucking robots with arm-canons?

Huge f***ing robots sounds good - good name for a game... ;)
They will be smaller to get a good overview of the map but of course you can zoom in as much as you want.

I will post a video of playing in a network next week. I promise ;)

Here is a ingame video of one of the robots doing multiple animations:

I now have got a better camera to record a network session in action on different PCs and Xboxs. Will post them soon.

Looking awesome, dude. I can't wait until a playable version is released to try this bad boy.

I hope you're going to make some more streamline animations, like what the robot does in idle, and something it might do when its sliding on the ground etc

I guess it's just in a rough stage atm ;)

Yes, they will be in the game. This is all WIP at the moment. I just finished the orthographic projection code to correct the perspective of the rendered model and am currently working on a normal mapping shadercode to implement 2D lighting. Should look very cool when it's done.

Oh, i forgot to mention that the music in the youtube video will be part of the soundtrack. Do you like it?
