Anyway today while playing in Elite Snipe N Slice, I was voted out because people thought I was hacking. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I remember being killed and then blowing up in fire like I would had I been killed by a flamethrower. Then right after that, anytime I used my saw, I went extremely fast. This isn't the first time this has happened either.

Also I hate people that will actually forgo their gun just so they can fucking knife me. Man up and shoot me or  leave. Don't resort to that kind of faggotry.

As for you getting banned, it sure seems like your hacking. Maybe you have a shitty connection and someone else really is cheating and somehow transfered the power to you. I have no idea.

Pm an admin to unban you. The bug is not very common, but it is there. It loads a different checksum for you, and only you. It gives the appearance that you are hacking, but in reality the saw is just making you go faster.

Dunno. I've ha something similar. It was as if I my game was running in dubble FPS, everything I did was faster than normal(and I did post it here too). On other peoples screen I moved faster and shot faster, well everything I did was faster like movement, spawning counter was faster like on crack, bullets, etc, etc. I restarted the computer and the problem persisted but then suddenly it stopped and I was able to play on Leo's again

Same thing happened to me 20 minutes ago. Not on the same server though. I noticed I was shooting a little faster than normal and this dude thought I was tele hacking. It started to really get on my nerves. He started to spectate and kept saying stuff like "oh nice tele hack" and "i seen that" and blah blah blah.
My ping was in the 200's but usually that doesn't cause me to lag. New bug maybe?

Screw IRC and screw gathers. But yes, the public servers/community is the foundation of soldat and without it, the game would definitely die.

Also, I might remember you on S&S, but sniping is alot more fun when all the elements are involved so hell yes to Fracs/U13 CTF. And that bug does happen from time to time, but I prefer not to use the saw in S&S anyways.

If you read his statement, he says REAL Soldat is on IRC(gathers). Real soldat is soldat itself, whether you play competively or on your leisure time. He totally disregards a BIG portion of the whole community.Ā  Him saying real soldat is on IRC definitely implies that the publics is worth very little to nothing. If what he meant is what you said, then that was a douchebag way to say it. Plus, there are respected players who DON'T use IRC.

umm, I think by "REAL" he meant Soldat with Realistic mode enabled. Those are what most, if not all, Leo's servers are.

What I was saying that the people you would like to get respect from is the good (competitive) players on IRC, not some random in publics. Dodging ret's is actually fun, you can can into small little sniper skirmishes where it's a clusterfeck of backflips and prone jetting to have your next shot on the guy. Pretty intense stuff once in a while.

That's what you have to deal with on IRC gathers. Why should you respect or want respect
from someone who thinks they are of more importance just because they sit in this channel longer than you? They feel like they have the right to push the newer players around. It didn't exactly happen to me but I saw it constantly happening when I used to gather. Who wants to sit there and get bashed at just because they aren't as skilled? To me respect has nothing to do with one's skill, but I respect people who are friendly and actually contributes to the community positively. Obviously, this doesn't go out to the gather community as a whole, but the few morons within that make it such a terrible experience for the upcoming players.

There are jackasses everywhere.  Obviously there will be some on IRC too.  Don't be so quick to assume that the same will hold true for everyone else you meet in gathers.  People tend to take gathers more seriously then they do public servers, which is why a select few will be so quick to anger if they find themselves with a less then superb team.  As long as you try and have a good attitude towards everyone, you'll find yourself welcome in gathers.

I started gathering in 1.3.1, but I was playing INF since 1.1.5 and I knew a few people. Its a 3v3 CTF game set in the cw/sctfl style. 6 people "add" to this gather and an IRC scripted bot will generate teams at random. It will then give server info and depending on what bot possibly the starting map (sna gather), and the tie breaker map (soldat.gather).

Download mirc, join quakenet, and join #sna.gather (North American) or Soldat.gather for European.

Another someone didn't read the full thread situation... The problem is server side afaik therefore not Rasputins' fault in anyway nor can he control it.

It may be fun Rasputins but would you rather have the game or so of fun then be kicked for some person thinking you hack or that it be fixed and you can continue playing? IMO its a bug and should be fixed because it alters the game and gives you an advantage you shouldn't have.
