Um... What makes you think I've let a movie determine my outlook on life? I've been an atheist since I was about 14. I didn't need a movie I just saw a few months ago to tell me there is no god. And that movie never says there's no god. What it does is further expose(imagine that, I already knew a small portion of what's in the movie) how Christianity stole a shitload of ideas from other religions.

And I never said anything about the conspiracy crap, did I? I guess you wouldn't know that unless you actually READ my post, but I forgot I'm dealing with mostly juveniles here who can't be bothered to read more than a paragraph or two, and even that's pushing it most of the time.

For instance... I was told as a young child that God created each and every one of us. We are all his children. He made everything, which includes every human ever to live. He loves all of his children, and he made us the way we are... BUT... then I was told that homosexuals are bad. "God hates slags." Well if God hates slags, why did he create them? If homosexuality is evil, why allow it in the first place? And why should we be punished for something beyond our control? If god made you the way you are, then homosexuality is not a choice, and it's not your fault if you are a homosexual. At the same time, if it is a choice, then he gave you that choice. Why should you be punished based on which one you choose? Why even give the choice in the first place?

But homosexuality is a choice man. Everything is a choice except the things that our creator chose for us, many of which are temptations (including homosexuality). I refuse to believe that homosexuals can't choose to be straight.

I do not believe in God, but I especially don't believe in religion. Though I understand the need for both, belief and religion I mean. also, I'd like to highlight the difference, as I see it, between the two of'em. Religion is the predetermined set of rules covered in one single name, in todays case Christianity or Islam etc.. but belief is something entirely different, it's ones personal feelings towards a higher phenomenon, and is in my eyes much more pure than just acknowledging whatever religion.

But no, I don't believe in god. Don't mind others being believers though.

Nothing made the universe, we can safely assume it was always there. The Big Bang caused it to expand into its current state.

Everything that we know to exist can be proven and backed up by evidence. I know a book exists because I can see it, pick it up, read it, see it elsewhere in a bookstore or library. Lets say I decide to invent something in my mind that doesn't exist, like a green Flamingo with no head... it doesn't exist and I can't possibly prove it does exist as much as someone else can't disprove it's existence. Either way it doesn't really exist and God has the same attributes as any non-existent thing. The inability to disprove something doesn't make it true. You can't disprove that I'm eating pizza right now so it must be true, right?
