Like that story of jesus resurrection which is actually a rip off of other religion's stories.

I've said this before, but it can't hurt to repeat it.  When multiple sources have the same stories, it gives more credibility to those stories, not less.  We have dozens, maybe hundreds of cultures with flood stories, for example.  Maybe the Genesis flood DID happen.  Cultures from every continent (except Australia and Antarctica, and maybe even those) have stories about dragons.  Maybe dinosaurs DID live with humans.

And finally, you claim that many religions have a savior figure that died and rose again.  Who knows, maybe there actually was one.

That's like saying that when all sources say that the earth is flat, it must be true.

Ironicly the Bible says that the earth is a sphere and hangs upon nothing.

"He . . . hangs the earth upon nothing" (Job 26:7).

"It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth" (Isaiah 40:22).

And for the heck of it.. the bible also discribes the water cycle

"All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, there they return again" (Ecclesiastes 1:7).

Circle =/= Sphere

Where does it say so?

Why do you even care? It wouldn't matter if it said so or not.

That is, it indicates something spherical, rounded, or arched -- not something that is flat or square

spherical is not the same as rounded or arched. How do we know which one they meant, if it even does have the definition of sphere attached to it?

The circle of the Earth? That could mean any number of obscure things. What shape do you think people who believed the Earth was when they all thought it was flat? Square? Triangle? Unfortunately you're doing that remarkable thing that most religious people (particularly Christians) do which is make things up as you go along.

I think you'll find that the Bible doesn't describe the water cycle.... From what you said it seems it is just pointing out what is very obvious to even a child that rivers run downhill into the ocean. That's not describing the water cycle, that's not even half of the water cycle. Lazy.

Sorry i pulled that out of a website. my bible says Sphere.

Well then deary, pop it on the scanner then and upload the image.

He doesn't have to scan anything, just tell you which translation he is using. I am guessing the website uses NIV, which is like the Bible for retards. Which is why I use KJV.

Man, and I thought I had made some good points a while back...which will go largely unnoticed.  It's always a bad thing when two or three bored people are on the forum at the same time, and treat a thread like a chat room.

Only anime shows I've felt any interest in over the years are Pokemon (original TV series) and various hentai.
so clearly jgrp is a goddamn anime connoisseur. his opinion might as well be law here.
