Perhaps you can tell me why the advance of science and the frequency of documented 'miracles' have a negative correlation, statistically. Can you?

As for the miracle/science correlation, it's because science refuses to recognize events that it can't reproduce, effectively saying, "Since it can't be scientifically proven, it's not real."  Of course, saying that completely misses the point of miracles, which wouldn't be miracles if they operated under the natural laws.  It's also a labeling issue: Rather than say, "That's a miracle!" people say "We don't know how that happened."

I think you're bending the truth there... a lot. I think you'll find that science refuses to acknowledge miracles because it can explain them and recreate them. Which is why as science advances, more occurrences that would have seemed miraculous hundreds of years ago can be explained perfectly well by the laws of such things as physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, electricity etc... It refuses to acknowledge these miracles because they aren't miracles, they're either hoaxes or they're just phenomena that only science can explain.

I think the universe is to specific put together to place it as evolution, and I believe an intelligent designer had to come in place there. Examples:

The earth rotates at a speed of 106.000 kilometers pro hour around the sun. If the speed would be less the earth would be pulled towards the sun, and if less it would fade away, both conditions, life impossible on our planet.

And then le law's of phisic, like gravity, sound, light, heat.

And what about electromagnetism. If that would be weaker atoms would fly apart, and stronger they would swarm together.

I mean, I could go on about this for pages! I do not believe this is all just sort of cooincidence. . .

The problem with this is... you're looking at everything from the creationist perspective. If none of these things happened then none of us would be here at all. Earth is one of billions and billions of planets that have the potential to house life, it is in no way unique. I recommend you read about the Anthropic Principal, it can explain it much better than I can.

I believe in God, because it fecking burned my neck with a soup somehow spilling over my shoulder in church -_-. But seriously, I do believe in him. Because if there were no god, why would Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, and other religions pray and have a ceremony?

You believe in God because he burned your neck with soup in church? Somehow I'm not in the least surprised by that... If I was God, I'd probably burn you too.

Q: If there were no God why would Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and other religions pray and have a ceremony?

A: Because they believe in something that isn't true. That it is not outside the laws of physics to be wrong about something. You have a pretty piss-poor reason for believing in God if that's your reason.

Tell me, why do some kids write a wish list to Santa Claus of what they want for Christmas? Why would they do that if he wasn't real?

By your standards you should believe in every single supernatural being, myth, legend and fairytale that has ever existed.

In my humble opinion, Informed Atheism > Uninformed Faith.
I went to church for several years before giving up, so I know exactly what it's about, but I decide not to follow it. My entire hope is that people listen to each others beliefs and make educated decisions.

For those who think that believing in god is better than not believing in god due to the fact that you are betting that a god would reward you for believing in him and would punish you for not believing.  This is known as Pascal's wager, in which someone wagers that it is better to believe in a god and die than not believe and die, so they decide to "believe".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal%27s_wager#Criticisms

This has been pretty much thought out to its limits and shown to be ridiculous.

And for those who believe evolution is pure chance, please read about evolution, it is anything but pure chance and it is far from it, it is in fact very deliberate.

And also here is an essay on the Evolution of Compassion from a researcher at UC Berkeley

I Don't Believe in God..God Isn't a name, and It says in the Scripture to call upon His Name.

So I go with the Jewish for Yahweh and Elohim.  Cheers.

And I think we can all feel his presence sometimes xD

"That men may know that you, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, are the most high over all the earth."
Psalm 83:18 King james version.

EDIT:
Going along with R, If The planets and everything just were placed anywere by chance the chance that the earth would have of being were it is would be 1:1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000(not a real ratio)

For just one example. With the Sun if the sun was just ONE meter closer to the earth, the earth would be too hot and could not sustain life, and one meter Farther it would be too cold.

Wow, _one_ whole meter. I'm glad the earth revolves around the sun on a perfect circular curve and not an elliptic one. And yea, there are sooooo few solar systems in the universe that earth's creation by chance is soooooooooooo unlikely.

So where do I sign up for that magic man madness?

If you do believe in god, what created god?
God wasn't created, he just is, was and always will be.
I believe in God, however I am not Christian or Catholic or any of that, I don't stick God in the category of religion. You can't put limits on God.

No I don't believe he made me. I don't believe that our existence as anything to do with God. But this world is filled with wonders, and perhaps a superior being does exist.
But until he show up, I wouldn't rely on him for anything. Let alone believing him.
Wasn't talking about whether you believe in God or not was talking about this:

Unless real God shows up in front of my door step.

I think that no atheist will kill a christian because, for the atheist, there is no reason to do so. Except for the case when a christian is threatening an atheists life.
You completely missed my point. Both are human, both have emotion and their own ideas. Both have equal opportunity to wrong the other. Only one has a reason not too.

Being an atheist doesn't mean you are a saint nor enlightened. More than likely it means you are an asshat that will shove their opinion down other peoples throat and call everyone that doesn't believe like you ignorant. Or at least that is what atheists are doing now.

You don't even have a point. An atheist is more likely to act reasonable because reason is what his world view is likely to be built upon.

Or you can actually think about what I posted and realize you are just making yourself look like a douche.

Oh and I am not catholic so you can toss "lol crusades" right out the window.

If you come up with logical arguments, I might do so.

That's why I'm asking myself why there are so many religious people over here... I mean god wouldn't like you to kill people virtually, would he?

Well except for if they are non believers ... according to the bible...

I'm sure you'd know what god allows and doesn't because you read the bible everyday and are a believer yourself.

>.> You really are a retard...

Ok my point that is completely clear if you read my posts. Everyone that kill in the name of religion/got people to kill for religion is what? Human! That is completely right! Humans can be fooled into killing people for any reason, using religion is just easy because people like the idea of an afterlife.  Killing someone else is just easier rather than changing their lifestyle to accept for some folks.

You like most atheists are using the mistakes of men(crusades, 9/11, ect) to fuel your fire of ignorance.(That sounded lame but whatever.)

Humans will slaughter each other no matter what we do, take away religion we will find something to kill each other over. Just like british people resorted to stabbing each other since they don't have guns.

This doesn't fit the fact that the more secularism spread the higher our ethical standards became.
