My brothers friend lent him a bunch of demo discs he gets in the mail every month and on one of them was soldat 1.0.5 (not as a demo, just as shareware)

got it on play-free-online-games.com
First I couldn't get it to work cause DX8 wouldnt work on a 4 meg video card (which is what i used to have) but then I went out and bought a radeon 7000 64mb. Now I can actually get past the "Cannot find sparks-gfx/explosions/smoke3.bmp and play!

A day like a pair of years ago, I was trying to log in Infantry, and I couldn't. So I searched for free Infantry and found Soldat.

a old forum i used to hang out in had a thread about it, the forum also had a clan for it (though i never joined it...), i tried it out.... and liked it....

And then i decided to make just ONE short fan comic, and....well.... the rest is history....

I found out about soldat from a PC gaming magazine(Enter). It was on the cd , I think version 0.9 or something like that(the only secondary weapon was colt 1911 or socom if you prefer)

I always go there, and their game are always good.... Anyways, I saw Soldat and it looked cool. But back when I saw it (about 4-5 years ago) I had like a PII 600 Mhz machine. So I couldn't dl. And in 2003, I finally remember about thaty little game on that site I had found many a year ago.

I found Soldat first at download.com's top rated action games (I was at school when I first played it lol). played it once and got kinda bored, but came back a year later and am still addicted to it today
