Hey guys. Well i have this situation. it with a virus.

Well i noticed it about 3 days ago with stupid Voice ads (i can hear them but i cant see em). and now im getting a bunch of pop ups. i run scans and everythign to get this fixed but no help. i have found the virus. its 2 .dlls and i cant delete either of them(Acces denied). but when i delete the files the .dlls use to create the ads, they just are recreated.

Any help here?

What virus software have you used to try to find and delete the viruses? What browser do you use?

I suggest you download either Firefox or Opera (stick with one of them, ditch IE; if you haven't already), download the free edition of Grisoft's AVG. Use it to scan and delete the viruses that might exist. Also grab Lavasoft's Adaware. Use that to kill the spyware that obviously does exist.

I used avast. but im downloading Gisoft right now.

avast might not do it, go ahead and torch it.

a super soaker with lighter fluid in it should suffice.

"Dr Delete" is a useful little program. Will delete selected files immediately or if it cant, on next reboot.

Grisoft didnt work. It finds it and i press delete and it never actualy deletes it. it just keeps finding it and reporting to me that its a trojan.

EDIT: Thanks for Dr. Delete! i was able to delete the files i thought were viruses thank you!

Really guys, stop wasting his time. Yes, reformatting and installing Windows would be your best bet. Just stick the installers for the anti virus software and a firewall onto a flash drive, reinstall windows, install the stuff on the flash drive BEFORE you connect the computer to the internet again. You should be good to go after that.

be quiteÂ a 4 year old, what if someone beleived you and really set there computer on fire. do you have any idea how dangderous that is? do you know how bad youd feel if your imaturity got somone killed or permanently burned?

and lumenshroom you insensitive jerk. what if he was just a kid? how would you like it if some big person you trusted on the internet made you delete your hard drive or whatever? computers are expensive. breaking peoples things isnt funny, its immature and wrong.

now for some real help thats actually helpfull and not some idiot trying to be funny: I dont know much about computers but you could try defragmenting. that allways helps.

The main outcome of defragging is making file operations with the hard drive go a lot faster. It won't remove viruses or spyware, but it will make the scans for them take a little less time. However, the time the defragmenation takes can be anywhere from a half hour to a day.

how do you know it's even bad? what if that's what the govt wants you to say. what if it's like the thousands of freedom fighting groups which the govt tells you are 'bad', but their demands are fair and reasonable?
