Help with the In Game Weapon Choosing InterFace
« on: August 22, 2008, 10:20:08 pm »
(I know the descriptions is a little long winded but bear with me, no pun intended... seriously)

Okay so I've started up my decent soldat mod, (the story of my mod i will not reveal). So yeah i;ve got everything down pat except one thing!

When you spawn you know the screen that you use too choose you're weapon. Well my custom weapon names show up but not my custom weapons. They work in game (the weapons) but they don't show up on the screen it shows the default guns beside the names.

So yeah, where do i insert the bitmaps/images of my custom guns so they appear on the weapon choosing screen!

Thank you!

I meant, like when you first spawn and you have to choose a weapon. how do you get you're weapons to show up there? i just get the default weapons. The default weapons also show up on the kill screen and not my custom weapons. I dont know what im doing wrong :(

I know what you meant. In your mod folder (I'm guessing Soldat\mods\ravens) make a folder called Interface-gfx with a subfolder called Guns and make the weapons in there what you want them to look like.

I hope that helps.

Soldat\Interface-gfx\Guns

^ This. Make sure that you make a backup in case something goes wrong.

Soldat\Mods\<your mod's name>\Interface-gfx\Guns

^ This is a BETTER alternative if you know how to use the start.exe file in your Soldat, which is the mod-loader. The mod loader will load up the mod folder that you want to use and NOT affect the default settings.

In your Soldat folder, double click on Start.exe, select the mod from the list you want to use, then click Run Soldat Modded.
