Do you mean vote kicking? There wouldn't be much point to vote kicking someone for them to immediately rejoin the server, thus the ban.

It's not a permanent ban on your nick/ip if the people only vote kicked you. You can come back to the server and play after a few minutes.

You get banned if you leave while people are voting you. For obvious reasons. And it only lasts 5 minutes.

I say keep it at 5... This is all I can think of for why you would leave during a vote kick:
1) You absolutely have to leave
2) You get wrong map version
3) You want to avoid being kicked

Now the last one is the most important.. If you are hacking or team killing or doing other annoying stuff and there is no admin on(which is usually the case) so someone vote kicks you...then all you do is leave and come back in 1 minute. 5 minutes isn't very long either but it's better than 1 minute, also I'm pretty sure you can survive 5 minutes without being on one server in soldat..

I'm pretty sure NSC meant you are banned for 5 minutes if you leave while there is a vote going on against you, not necessarily if someone actually pushed F11 or F12.
