« on: August 30, 2008, 06:25:30 pm »
full error message --> "could not initialize directX Graphics.
you must have installed DirectX 8 or better.
Try tunninh Solday in compatibility mode."

i was just wandering if i could run soldat in a smaller screen, so i went in the "Soldat Mod Starter" and unchecked "Fullscreen", and i tried running soldat and that error popped up, i tried rechecking it, but it says the same thing.. help??

(YES MY DRIVERS ARE UP TO DATE - DirectX 9)

Have you tried running Soldat in compatibility mode?

Soldat Setup -> More -> Tick "Video Compatibility".

Simple solution - change your resolution display to 16 bit instead of 24 or 32 bit.

Right click on desktop -> properties -> settings then just change your 'Colour Quality'

Yes I'm Australian -.-

I highly doubt that will do anything useful; that'll just make everything look fugly.

What OS are you on? Vista? If so, right click on Soldat.exe, properties, tick Run As Administrator.
There are other worlds than these
