I need a sound recording program

Ok here's the deal. I need a fast and decent answer. I'm doing a Science Fair project that relates to sound. My project is about testing different types of glass ( single pane, double pane, plexi glass) to see which one reduces the most sound. I want record the sound and measure the DbA (Decibel - Acoustic). If its a free program, great. I don't mind spending between 50$ to $130 for a program that could do this. Such a simple task as to record in measurement shouldn't cost much, but meh you get the point.

I know, it's hard plastic. I just to see the effects of it against the other two. My insulation project was a success, I hope this one turns the same way.
