It seems there is a hurricane orgy in the Gulf of Mexico and they're all heading this way.
Up next; Hurricane Ike - still far out, but everybody has the same idea as to where it will probably hit.

Well, they expect it to hit this weekend, Friday possibly, so unless it gets flooded extremely bad around your school, it being canceled would be doubtful. :s

I think that when a hurricane comes, you should worry more for it than if the school is gonna be canceled lol...

Yay, finally a hurricane that actually did damage. (Texas ended up with more damage than Katrina did on New Orleans in '05, and less deaths. Hurraaaa!

Galveston ended up entirely under water, with 26+ foot storm surges.

Where I live, we got the worst part of the eye with a few dozen trees down, snapped power lines and excessive flooding. Just came back to make a little report, since the power has been out for a week.
