I have a question. Is it worth spending $50-$80 on a graphics card? The computer I own doesn't have a very good one and there are some games I would play if I had a better graphics card. Because the thing is it has 2 gigs of ram, 2 1.6 HZ processors, but a crap graphics card. Quite frankly I know next to nothing about computers, so yeah would a new card be worth buying?

if you mean a dual core 1.6 GHZ then its well worth it to get a graphics card, if its a single core its probably not worth it.

Games might not see a huge jump in speed if they don't handle multithreading well. If you're going to play Left 4 dead (or when they upgrade the engine tf2) you will probably see a significant jump in performance. Don't get anything particularly expensive, the best cards you can get won't perform any better than an average one because your CPU can't keep up.

if i have about £100 (i dont know what that would be in dollars now but at a guess id say it would be around 200$)

what quality of graphics card would i be buying

i dont want to know the ins and outs, just on a scale of 1-10 what quality im looking at in todays range of cards

150 dollars aprox. If you come to america to buy it you can get an excellent mid/high range card. I don't know if you guys get the same kind of amazing deals we get in the states.

no, you need to be signed in with EA to track kills and such which will let you unlock guns.

you should have gotten css when it was 10 bucks on steam. But now its too late, so go with whichever one you want. I personally hate CSS but my brother loves it, I love TF2 and my brother isn't too interested. Do you want a game thats more competitive or more team-dynamic oriented?
