Ello! is there a way to have an ingame mp3 player, not just in soldat? I'm really tired of having to alt+tab my way out of games and stuff every time I wanna switch song.
I just either A) Use my other computer or B) Use my mp3 player.
The upside is it's really easy and doesn't slow down the game.
The downside is that I can't use the same speakers for both.

If you use foobar, you can set global hotkeys that let you change songs even when you're in another application, like a game. There's a simliar plugin for winamp aswell, google it up.

Whenever I'm on Windows, I use winamp with key bindings which I can use in Soldat:

control + alt + END (next to Delete and the page up/down) -- pause / play
control + alt + UP Arrow Key -- Next Song
control + alt + DOWN Arrow Key -- Previous Song
There are other worlds than these

simple Winamp problem

Where you see the visualization (funky image along the top of the window), I want to keep it there.  The thing is, when I shut winamp down it reverts back to the "info box", so I have to change it to visualization when I bring it back up.

so how can I make it stay like it is now..

Player since late 2007

I had that problem too, pissing me off.

maybe try the winamp forums?

Ok, there is no direct way to fix this problem, but there is a workaround:
go to the preferences window (ctrl-p) and go down to Plug-ins, then check 'Auto execute visualization plug-in on playback', and it will start when you start playing music.

Question:

Is there any way I can play Archer Maclean's mercury (Video) on PC, be it by an emulator or a clone or something else. That game had me interested since the first time I saw a video of it on a games show.

That does look interresting. I suppose you could always just try a fitting emulator. Know what console it's for originally?

you could get the emulator but you would have to illegally download a copy of the game, so no help here.

Nah, we gotta attempt to uphold at least some kinda standard here.

Anyway, I was trying to make Red Alert(the original) work on a set of computers yesterday with a couple o' friends. We got it working and all, save only one computer out of three had network access, which is wierd, 'cause we all did the exact same thing. Any suggestions on what that might be?

Broken cable or broken switch port, did you test to see if the port/cable worked with the other computers?

Any model numbers? I see there's a lot of open source firmware support for the WRT54GL. Is this one good?

One thing about Linksys is the brand is owned by Cisco Systems. This company is one of the "Big Four" (along with Microsoft, Yahoo!, Google) hurting the cause of human rights by acceding to the whims of the Chinese government and getting people jailed for looking at or saying politically incorrect things online. They report relevant statistics to the Chinese, often refusing to do the same for the American government (citing privacy rights concerns). The f*ckers.
