Why is it when we ask for the check in a restaurant they bring us a bill?

Because they are two words describing the same concept. "Check" sounds more streetish, and many restaurants like to keep it fancy.

Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your butt?

I think it should be the opposite. Assteroid (lol) Hemmoroid would sound better for outer space. Well hemorrhoid is probably the scientific name for that part of the body. And asteroid is probz some asterology name.

^I need to know if this will install the same way as a DVD drive. or do I need a newish system (and motherboard) that will support it.

What motherboard do you have? Almost 100% sure it will, SATA is just about standard these days.
