Because people care about posts there even less than those in a normal thread. The punishment for necroing one should be worse.

Donations.

And there isn't a total need for cash since a huge portion of the programmers who contribute have normal full time jobs and only work on it part time.

And for ubuntu specifically, Canonical (the company behind it) was founded by a guy named Mark Shuttleworth who got rich, so ubuntu is backed by several million dollars should the community fuck itself over.

Why do people ask questions here when it'd be faster just to google it?

Because then you don't have to sift through lots of unhelpful links, just post a question and wait.

How much money can give a standard Google Ads banner to a website? And the money that gives that banner, is enough to pay for the domain? Also, how many banners are needed to pay for a 9,99$ .com domain?

It totally depends on how many people visit the website.

Does stopping a defrag halfway through defragment the disk even further?

Not really, I tried that shit, it doesn't increase fragmentation percentage, just mixes it up.

Shouldn't make a difference at all. If it did, there wouldn't be the "Pause" and "Stop" buttons.

It could make some harm if you reset your computer or unplugged it from the juice(I don't know if it's proper word for electricity)...

Found a bash quote that sparked curiosity.

May not be much more popular than Ricochet, I haven't played it in quite a while. :D
