It's less/not addicting and won't completely skullf**k your body with cancer and other detriments like tobacco very well will.

So yes, it's safe(r).

(in moderation it's no different than alcohol)

edit: to clarify, I'm referring to joints/brownies vs cigarettes/cigars.

Let's be fair here - cigarettes and tobacco products hurt your lungs because of all the other chemical compartments put in them, while cannabis lacks these. Effects are vastly different though.

If there is no filter the cannabis is far harder on your lungs, as most cigarettes do have filters. However, the nicotine and other such junk in cigarettes is much more addictive and harmful than THC or w/e is in weed.

And what if you use brownies instead of joints for weed? Doesn't that eliminate all lung damage?

Uuuuuuh, no. Did browneys once. Although it took about 45 minutes to hit me, when it did, I was flying like never before. Also, funny thing was, it hit all of a sudden. I was in the middle of a conversation with a couple of girls. I was continuously looking at either one, and at some point, when I was turning my head to look at the other, the browneys kicked in and I felt like I was in bullet time. I was later told the conversation ended there.
