I sometimes ask myself what Microsoft is on when doing stuff like that. In order to change the language of my laptop (Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit) from Dutch to German (accidently installed it like that) I needed to use my recovery CD and install Vista again (no cleaning, though). There are language packages, but only for people who own Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit version and that is retarded.

Can people be that dumb?
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc721887%28WS.10%29.aspx

and going from 32 bit to 64 is something a bit more radical ._.

Regarding soldat servers. Is it possible to change your ip to words? Can someone explain what this is? Confused...Maybe pm me if its complicated.

I've got a few racing games I want to play but steering with keyboard is not as easy and fun as it is with an actual steering wheel.. which I don't have.

So does anybody know of any steering wheel emulators that you could simply control with a mouse?

where can i make a website for free? i need something good for a school project
Your acting like your having a duel and your opponent gets a pistol and you get a spork.
Isn't that pretty much what it is? I dunno wtf a spork is, I suppose it's way weaker than the pistol since you compared that to this.

Well, I've found an answer to my last question.
I found a number of different apps and almost got the joystick emulator working, but all of the GamePort input/output ports were already taken by motherboard, so I couldn't install the virtual joystick.

Luckily, I found another program that doesn't use the GamePort and creates its own virtual port instead. The programs are called PPJoystick (which is the virtual joystick port & driver) and PPMouse (which is the mouse-to-joystick converter).
They're hard to find, so I suggest you get them now in case you'll ever need them: http://personne.newmail.ru/PPJoystick/

They installed without any problems on Windows XP Pro (SP3). I tested it in HoverAce and it works like a charm. <3

I'm having some issues with my computer stalling on me whenever it's been playing a game for a certain amount of time, such as my recent game of HoN with Kazuki. I'm suspecting it might get too warm. Does anybody know a sexy little piece of software I could use to monitor my CPU temp?

Ones I used Everest for that job.
But It looks like this

The problem is that I it's a part of Everest( That "I" thingy).
If you find something lighter like that shows only my CPU temp then post it here.

That reminded me that I've also got Everest but never actually gave it a try. D: It about time I did that. Maybe I too will finally find out why the heck my 2.8Ghz dual core is so damn slow.

I have a question though: what temperature is considered ok for CPU, and at which point it becomes "not ok"?

It's fine until it starts pushing 50C. But I'm even not too sure about that.

I do a lot of video encoding (.avi to native dvd and vice verca) and when I do like 4 of them at once, my dual core amd athlon 64 gets up to around 67C (4 year old stock heatsink/fan). Nothing noticeable happens, but when the encoding is finished it goes back to around 30'ish and all is fine.

I really wouldn't be too worried about CPU temps. Being careful with hard drive temps is a different story though.

Are there alternatives to using explorer to copy large amounts of data across media?

Upgrading to win7, I copied ~120 GB of files to backup, but the info box said there was only 18 GB, in the end it copied it all, but once it had done the first 18 GB it just sat there copying the rest saying '5 seconds remaining' for over an hour. Also all the boxes that come up asking me for permission to copy things (!@#!@$!@$) meant I had to check it frequently. Thirdly the speed always seems to drop and drop and drop until it is at really low speeds over time for no apparent reasons.

On a possibly related note, I tried copying 4.36 GB to a DVD-R. Went fine for a few seconds (700 KB/sec) but then it drops to around 70 KB/sec, and unlike copying between other media, it doesnt do anything (left it overnight and nothing more had been copied). Managed to get a smaller ~2 GB file onto another disc, but popping it back in after it was done, windows asked me to format it as though it was a fresh disc.

Would something like Nero work, or is it a hardware problem?

P.S: I have given up on the SD card reader, for now at least. Win 7 has the same problem

Because it, along with tits, is one of the most fascinating and important items in human history.

Why are there so many names for a penis?

Because once a euphemism reaches common recognition it becomes just as offensive as the old one (and therefore, useless), prompting the creation of a new phrase.

Also because ridiculous terms for dicks are funny. If you don't agree, you can suck my one eyed trouser snake.
