So let's say I forgot the password to my wireless internet. I can still go online, 'cause it's logged in by default.. now I wanna hook my other computer up to it as well. How do I go about recovering the pw on the computer I'm already logged in with?

Right click the wireless network ( It's SSID name ) then go to security and and click on that box that says "Show password" or something..

If I were to build a computer to host an Ubuntu server, would it need a graphics card to be able to output stuff to a screen? I'm not very experienced with hardware stuff, so I was just wondering if I could get away with not buying a graphics card at all for it, since Ubuntu server only uses simple text based graphics anyways.

Just make sure the motherboard you get has on board graphics. Graphics card, although no where near as powerful as the separate cards, is part of the motherboard, and will easily be enough to output a text display.

I typically use absolutely ancient S3-virge PCI video cards for servers of mine that run Ubuntu/Debian/FreeBSD. Just get an ancient ass video card and use it only for dealing with the BIOS, and actually use the machine over SSH or serial console (have your distro spawn a getty on ttyS0 (or whichever serial port) and buy a null modem cable (think crossover but for serial); this is the reason why servers still come with RS-232 serial ports) if the net goes down and forget it's there.

Anyone know a good freeware program that converts videos so that you can watch them on your phone? Nokia C7 to be precise.

Look at Handbreak and if you aren't afraid of using the Windows command line, ffmpeg.

AFAIK free version has all the formats the full version has. The only difference between free and pro version is that pro has additional presets for mobile phones, ipods/ipads, consoles, etc. You can still use the free version, you'd just have to pick settings yourself sometimes, but that's not a huge deal at all.

But yeah, I'd definitely recommend this converter, I've been using it for years. It's free, the interface is nice, supports a ton of formats (including audio), allows to choose audio/video/subtitle channels for each vid, etc.

I can convert and watch HiDef videos (1080p) on my Mac Computer thanks to
this little handy tool. It converts rather slow but if you're looking for something
that works, get this. It also features a "Find Info" feature that searches info and
adds it to the file so when it is imported into iTunes, you don't have to change its
title, comments, year, etc. It also looks up and imports a description as well as
the director, actors, rating, genre, and producers. Probably the best converter out
there, in my opinion.

You could just get VLC for mac (it's free) and use that to play virtually any format.

Nah, the only apple products I have is an old iPod nano (2nd generation) and this new iPad I got for my b-day (yeah, wasn't expecting that...).
Handbreak seems to do the job so I'll stick to it for now. But thanks for all the different suggestions, they might come in handy some time.
