Politics!

Obama or McCain? I'm not really interested in politics. I'm just curious with who you want to be president.  8)

I actually found this hilarious video on the 2008 election. Time for some campaignin'!

If you study patterns in politics you'll know who is gonna take office next. My vote is going to stop that pattern but I know to wont help. Its gonna be a land slide.

McCain is too old to deny that he saw the ritual the cro-magnon did whenever they killed a mammoth.

Obama.

I think people are being too hard on Obama when they say he has no experience, I'm sure he ran a lemonade stand when he was a kid.

Most of the time, if somebody doesn't like McCain it's because he's old, and when they don't like Obama it's because he is black. I wonder how long it'll be before this thread turns into a racist flame fest. :s

no, those people are the ignorant minority, you're obviously stupid for thinking that.

Most people hate obama because they see through his bullshit and realize he has no idea how to run a country and his promises are obviously pandering to whoever he is talking to and his goals are stupid and thrifty.

Most people hate McCain because they think Obama will actually deliver on all the BS he talks even though he doesn't actually have any idea how to execute his goals.

Let there be the first Black man to do the job of president. Besides, I'm tired of Republican now.

It's amusing that the current Republican VP candidate has more political experience than the Obama.

If people want to elect Obama, I should hope they know about his severe lack of experience.  If you're just voting to see a black man in office then you really shouldn't vote.

why is experience that big a deal anyway? from george w. bush i think it's pretty clear that you can still be a complete feck up regardless of how much experience you have, and besides, he's bound to have all sorts of advisers.

i'd definitely vote for obama, but obviously aren't american.

also while this is here, i can't understand a few things. why are guns so important and why is universal health care considered evil? i'm sure i could think of more, but those in particular seem like strange viewpoints to me.

Obama promises change, but it's all in the form of government programs that will cost taxpayer money and ultimately take power away from the people.  McCain wants the government to have a smaller role in the lives of citizens, which is one of the reasons I'm voting for him.

Obama because he's black and I want all the racist white trash to hate having a black president.

Other than that I couldn't care less.

Why is experience a big deal?  That's a rather pointless question - would you want someone who has little experience running the country?  Look at what Alaska was, and look at what it is now.  Vast improvement from a governor who took an active role in writing legislation and improving the state.

Obama has taken part in various subcommittees, etc., but on his own hasn't written/produced squat to my understanding.

On the health care versus guns point, I'd rather see more health care personally.  Possibly stems from the original need to protect arms when defecting from a certain nation a few hundred years ago, when the idea of a welfare state was not so critical.  To give the proper funds to health care these days would be a huge task, considering the many, many people who sponge and aren't very productive.  Someone needs to do some major book keeping before any such idea would be feasible.  Not to mention wean people off of a nature dependent on such a system.

Obama because he's black and I want all the racist white trash to hate having a black president.

Other than that I couldn't care less.

A prime example of people who shouldn't vote.

Obama promises change, and that is true if he means different then Bush. Not true if he means different then almost every demacrat ever. Same old tax and spend. Plus he chose Biden, the anti-change 36 year in senate man.
If McCain does what he says he will, I think he will be a much better president in just about every respect.
Also, if the dems lose, they are more fail than I ever imagined. Only the demacrats could take a sitting president with one of the worst approval ratings ever, run against his party, and still be in a dead heat. If they lose they are mega fail.

Well, there is the little thing where she doesn't even know how to name her kids.  But if you look past that...
