Look, a simple sky background, some birds, and glowing lines, doesn't amuse me, nor would it anyone else. The thing is you have a lot to learn, it isn't always about "looking awesomely cool" but sometimes, about the way you used the image, how different it is, the colours used, and if the image actually suits the background, try something different from time to time.

I don't expect anyone to really use the sigs, although it's a nice gesture [I still haven't gotten mine yet :< ] but the thing is that he's a newbie to this and maybe if he cranks out oh, 500 or so he'll learn something even without, like, any real background in art. The important thing is to keep doing it.
