I swear I saw that chainsaw guy move!

EDIT: he did it again!

Reload the page, wait a few moments and the guy with the chainsaw will /cheer!

The image is a gif with 24 frames, so sometime it will have to move!! I didn't see him doing such thing yet...

I just go to a thread I haven't posted in or looked at, stopped the page on the first post(first page) and then hit refresh.
It wont show the /victory if the page goes down. ;x

It moved for me just as I loaded the page :/  (this was when I first visited the site after the logo change) Apart form that it doesn't happen often :/

Thats the point why Flies wanted to keep animation that happens once in a while.
Becouse "Wow, did that just move ?"
Personally I think it would be good with 20 - 50 seconds too, but it doesn't matter.

This isn't true. The animation has a 100 second still frame before the soldat moves. Unless you took 101 seconds to load the rest of the page after the image loaded... Which wouldn't happen.

At least in Firefox, if a gif animation is cached, it won't be "reset" when a new page is loaded. It'll countinue on the existing counter.

Correct.

However, he did stress that that was the first time he had visited the site after the logo change and thus the image could not have been cached. Hence why it's not possible.

Yeh, it did move. But as 8th_account said, refreshing it in Firefox won't work.

@Mangled, I'm using chrome so either that has an effect on it or it wasn't the first time I loaded 'home' but I am sure it was very soon after I loaded the page
