Two Guns - Lupara and Fire Extinguisher

Hello, this is STM1993 again, this time with two other weapons. I originally made these weapons for my personal zombie mod, but I decided to release them as well.

The first one is a Lupara, italian term for a Sawn-off break-action Shotgun.

I was making my own personal zombie mod, when I decided: Hey, why not have both a pump-action shotgun and a sawn-off shotgun? And there, I created this weapon. Originally, I wanted the Lupara to be the Spas-12, but the reload clashes with the reload sound and as I said, I wanted the pump-action shotgun to remain.

Also, I had problems finding a gun where the gun's appearance would look like it is open for reloading, it would be the M79 but the thing is, the reload is too short. If I made it too long, not only would it not fit, it would also make the gun very unbalanced.

The second one, is actually a Fire Extinguisher. You ask, what is the fire extinguisher for? So let me tell you: Did you know that ironically, in real life, fire extinguishers can be converted in flamethrowers?

If you're wondering, I used my imagination to create this weapon. Don't ask me how you create these improvised, home-made weapons in real life (I don't know), and they are also illegal and highly dangerous, so DON'T TRY THOSE AT HOME!!!

The fire extinguisher is the type where you have the tank, the grip + trigger on top, the circular thing that tells you how much you have in the tank, and the nozzle (where the liquid is sprayed from) is connected through a rubber tube. It has an additional pistol-like attachment below the nozzle. This attachment is held by one-hand, and a finger on a certain trigger. When this trigger is pulled, a small flame will ignite beneath the nozzle. The improvised flamethrower is ready to be fired. To fire this flamethrower, you just have to squeeze the grip (like how you fire any fire extinguisher). From then, the liquid is sprayed out of the nozzle, towards the little flame. The flame would cause this liquid to burst into flames, effectively creating a flamethrower.

Note:
If you're wondering what's that grey/silver little bomb, it's the grenade made into a pipe bomb. If you're wondering about the green bottles, they're cluster grenades made into molotov cocktails. If you're wondering about my interface, I modified them myself.

I DID NOT follow the appearance of the two images I posted up when I made the guns, it's just to give an idea of what the weapon is like.

Still, I love the Lupara interface gfx, very innovative, but the cartridge is much brighter than the gun, is like there is two different light shining on it.

The ingame one looks too long, you could shorten it up and make the barrel less fuzzy.

I do love the flamer, pity that you can't change the flame to white thing...or can you?

Other than that, its all good. You deserve a pat on the back.

Hmm, I didn't really consider the lighting, so I just left it as it is.

The ingame one looks too long, you could shorten it up and make the barrel less fuzzy.

Okay, I think I'll try shortening the length. Fuzzy hmm? That means the Lupara has to be bigger, the barrel is one pixel in there. But I'd like to keep it smaller.

I do love the flamer, pity that you can't change the flame to white thing...or can you?

You mean make it an actual fire extinguisher shooting just the white liquid? Actually its possible, the gfx of the flame itself is under Sparks-gfx, flames. But it would look really weird ; the white particles would be behind the Soldat and you'd see white particles around the Soldat. Also, the flame sprites never rotateĀ  according to where it is fired from ingame. I'd be forced to use shotgun pellets for the ammo but it would be weird too.

Or if you're referring to the flamer-fire.bmp gfx, maybe I can make it the liquid being sprayed and so the flames would seem to be ignited from those vapours.

Other than that, its all good. You deserve a pat on the back.

Updated the Lupara file, added two new versions along with the original.

- Lupara shortened by 2 pixels (ingame).
- Interface's shells have been darkened.
- One of the two versions features the Lupara to be held with two hands instead of one.

Nice work STM, I'd never have though of a Fire Extinguisher flamer =P

I don't mind the GFX either, the Lupara is actually quite nice in the weapon menu, The shading I suppose doesn't have to be too good since this is kind of a gag but yea, I like it =P
