Weather Effects
« on: October 03, 2008, 03:32:27 am »
Well i thought that it would be nice if the weather effects were behind everything, even scenery that is in the background. Becuase, say you make a map, and it's snowing or raining or whatever, it rains inside the building. It looks kinda wierd. :P

Only a minor change that will make the inside of buidings look better. I'll post a screen show too show you what it looks like.

Seems like a valid enough suggestion. Frankly this should've been fixed some time ago. i'm gonna go ahead and support this. "F12", as your earthly peops say.

This is well understood. How can it rain inside a building?

F12.

the rain effect is just a BMP moving around, like snow/dust.

but yeah it'd be nice. but would it need a mapcode change?

Instead of that, have the rain collide with the ground, so then it wont be able to go inside the buildings.

f12, though i support Xxypher suggestion a bit better, because for example in bushes scenery the rain would just go behind it, which is kinda lame imo

Rain should have a random depth, which I know is an easy thing to do in C++.
But yeah, support me.
But the random depth would work good for making the game a little better, so all the rain doesn't just land infront of the scenery.

I have to agree.

It was always bothering me that when I was in a building or anywhere inside of something it was snowin'/rainin'.

F12

but, if you have a maps with polys around it., how would the rain get in the map?  it would have to be an open map.

The splash on the roof sounds mad...add effects to sound splashes and make it look cool!

This has been suggested before....BY ME. xD

Only though, I suggested it in Polyworks that the scenery go in front of weather effect option be added.

Unfortunately, it seems that the weather effects is a part of the soldat game, not Polyworks.

Still....F12
