While the original had great gameplay, it was very buggy and I felt it looked horrid. Then came with the idea to re-make it. It's now much harder, contains no bugs with waypoints or polygons, and just plays better overall.Â
Theme remains the same, but I decided to implement for Viggolo-style for this map, tried my best to manipulate it and I think I came pretty close. I might as well keep at this style since people are calling me the next Viggolo, although I have to disagree since we both have nothing in common.
Notice any drastic changes to the visuals and map itself? Notice how its much darker and far more grisly?
This is the room in which you first start. You spawn to the left and have to travel down to the passage in front of you. And to make things more exciting, most likely with everytime you respawn, you'll see a bot spawn inside the cage and you get to have the enjoyment of watching him roast alive because of the fire beneath it.
This is where the action first begins. By the time you fall down the passage, bots will be hurling at you full speed. This part is one of my favorites, it just seems to be a lot of fun.
Finally after being suffocated by the previous stage, you can look forward to a safe spot. Its the floor between the columns. I really like the lighting effects in here BTW.
Welcome to the first official torture chamber of the map. To the left, you can see a cage and to the right, the Judas Cradle. Unless you want to become as sick-minded as I am, I don't recommend looking these up.
Second torture chamber of the map. Only contains chains. Seems simple, yet if you anywhere near as sick-minded as I am, you'd realize there's endless possibilities of torture with such a simple device. Also the right section is a safe spot of the map. Zombies do not spawn there nor can they reach you.
If you've managed to reach this far into the map, you'd very soon realize this is it. This is the final stage of the map. You'll also notice because of the torture devices in here, this is the most deadly room. Only the most infamous criminals would be tortures and killed within this chamber. Contains my version of the Rack, The Brazen Bull, and Spikes for Impalement.
Last room of the map, this is where the flag is located, inside of the cage, reach it from the top like an opened box. Zombies do not spawn here. I've had problems with the last map of people delaying and holding the bots in one spot, making the map boring. This is no longer possible to all the cheap players and those who do not want a challenge.
