Some new bugs I've found

I've found a few small bugs in these new forums:

The icon next to each post that says whether or not s/he is online does not match those used in their profile page, where it is a green star if they are online and a white square if they aren't. The ones that are next to each post is a strange quote looking icon.

On the drop-down menus at the bottom of each topic which can jump you to any section of the forum, the category sections don't work. For example, clicking on The Lounge works but Soldat Talk doesn't. The reason for this is because having the portal broke the link, it needs to have ?action=forum in front after the index.php and before the #. Adding that'll fix it.

As I find more bugs [if I do] I'll update this thread with them.

Really? This works just fine for me. Using Firefox installed on Windows XP.

Oh, I guess it only shows images that are under a certain file size/dimension. I assume that's why this doesn't work for me but the one you posted does.

You need to click on the image to view the image, click on the link to download the image.

edit: oh yeah, it does look like it only previews over a certain size.  Let me see what that cutoff is and if I can raise it.

As indicated by my post above, the reason that not all of them are resized is because it was uploaded before the forum upgrade last night.  Any attachments posted after last night will show the preview.

This isn't exactly a bug but is rather undesirable when it comes to searching for topics by their title.

It is a feature, because searching for a single character word is *useless*

You'll need to put search phrases in quotes, like in the Orwell "Animal Farm" -movie example underneath the text box

Gotcha, thanks. I hadn't expected the forums to work like Google, but as I'm finding out, they're full of interesting surprises everywhere!

Yet another symptom of this lousy anti-table movement. Gah, when are people gonna realize that tables actually do stuff the right way?

Well, I'm sure changing the css properties of the div that surrounds the box can make it stretch vertically to accommodate the extra text? Maybe overflow:hidden; or something similar?
