1-hit-kill with spas is posibble only in (very) close combat. On long distances Spas is weak. And Soldat maps are usually rather big (they have a lot of open space).

True, true...it has happened to me, though now that I think about it, it was mostly on TW maps...makes sense I suppose...

tehsnipah, minigun IMO isn't that bad, it's not supposed to be strong or anything.  They'll improve it for its purpose, due to the higher rate of fire.

If you can load fifty bullets into someone's face point blank and they still kill you there IS a problem.

well, i've been testing the minigun on lots of deathmatch pubs, and there are 2 things that i realized:

1. its all about crouching, it drasticaly decreases the self bink which makes a lot of succesful kills (was 4-5 times in a row the 1st/2nd)

2. you dont live enough long to get to 0 bullets/reload the minigun (you start reloading it, and ur allready dead)

its strenght is in holding the enemy away from you, so he cant hit you

the most kills are doublekills

also, if you have minigun, just crouch

I think the m79 should have the same self damage as an ordinary nade, but thats my opinion.

I think no Gun is unbalanced or overpowered! You only need the Skill for it!

I'd say the Minigun is most unbalanced, it is too weak. I don't have the best aim, but it takes about 40-60 shots to kill anybody with it unless you're practically at point blank range, and then you can use a chainsaw or shotgun much better.

Yeah, totally the minigun. I think you'd get more kills throwing sacks of potatoes, but I don't know. Plus the reload time is BS cause, unless everyone else is dead, you are.  :P

I think the m79 needs just a slightly longer reload time, but other than that, I'd say the guns are balanced.

hmm, about minigun... heh ive played some matches trying to use it.
and know what? i can surely say: THERE IS A TACTICS SPECIALLY FOR MINIGUN  ;D

i was playing with guy (his nickname: KingOfNoobs xD) that was using SPAS, M79, HK-MP5 and (!) Barret against me.

(1) SPAS-using-enemy is one of the easiest: just be on top and dont let him to get close enough to you (i mean almost full-contact when shotgun can easily drop your HP down to 40 or 30%) and try to shoot before him (yeah yeah i know: "f***in startup time") cause minigun can easily move him away from you (very nice f.rate+good bul.speed).
PS: i will say about reload in the end of post ;)

(2) M79 -_- .... if you are fightin against M79-pro i can swear you it will be the nerdest match in your life  ;D (one accurate shot from proper range (even close) and you are loading your minigun again) BUT if its a usual M79 user - the best spaying weapon of Soldat is in your hands  ;) 
dont forget: even usual players can hit you once *BOOM* (not so often but anyways...)

(3) oh my favourite MP5 :D as i said: if a pro-player using this rush-smg ... then you can only try to hit him from afar (haha "spayer! spayer!") or ask the fortune to hit with headshots (yeah LOL i know). the worst situation: your enemy runs with HK-MP5 shooting you at middle or close range and jumping from one medikit to another  :P if the situation is better then SHOOT FROM AFAR! long range. right. but dont shoot constantly! huge self-bink you know...

BY THE WAY! 5 or 4 greandes in your pocket can easily help you to drop your enemy's hp to 50 or 40% ! then you need some skill or spray :P

(4)Barret. sniper = hunter for minigun noobs :D :D :D BUT! sniper = huge bink from SMGs... our minigun have the best ingame firing rate... soooo.... i think you've understood ;D shoot first, spray accurately, hit as much as you can and look: camper is running with 20-10% HP (and grabbing medikit ;D no!) and "Eat this!": nice grenade throw, buddy! ;)

so try to follow this lil manual and you can enjoy playing unusual (but cool) matches with some confused players ;D

Minigun. Too weak.

Moderately useful on the BoogieMan server, but if other than that I prefer using MP5 altough I'd LOVE to use the gattling....but it just ain't smart.

Stronger? In theory, it is stronger than autos (except mp5), but in practice it doesn't work so good. If it'd be overpowered, people would use it more btw.
