For some reason my avatar matches the forum colours when I'm on my home computer, yet doesn't when I'm using a college computer. Any ideas why?

You won't see what he is seeing, because screenshot doesn't rely on the monitor. It will just save the colours and look different on his home and college computers still.

What minitor did you do it in? If you did it on a CRT then you might of missed the edges as you think you got them. Paint on a LCD monitor to be sure you get the colors right.
