My Home-Made Scorpion Costume :D (minor update)
« on: October 25, 2008, 01:11:09 am »
This is something I have been cooking up for about 3 weeks or so now...  I just finished the final template (mostly).  It is still lacking a belt and there are a few minor tweaks to be done, like adding detail to the garb, making sure the thing is properly sized, but this is basically it.  The paper I'm using doesn't exactly behave like fabric, as in it folds all out of shape and has no weight to it and sorta flies everywhere, but when I make the real deal that won't happen as bad if it all.

I would hope that I don't have to explain who I am tryna be...   [retard]
Hint: The final thing is gonna be yellow.   8)

Nice. Are you going to put any detail into the yellow swaths?

I've already got my costume prepared.

I'm dressing up as Trilby for halloween/samhain.

Pics when I get'em.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that.  I most certainly am!  I am basing this costume 'offa UMK3 Scorpion though.  ------->http://www.umk3.net/images/portrait/scorpion.gif

:\ That costume's more cosplayer quality than a halloween costume.

I just recently got a haircut, and I didn't like it. Not. One. Bit. So, I said to the barber...one inch of hair cut off please...me with my money, him with his razor. I didn't say a thing. But he cut more than I'd have liked.

I'm honestly thinking about bringing a portal CD player with external speakers, with a copy of "Never Gonna Give You Up", and dying my hair red and getting a 70's suit.

Yeah, probably the easiest version. Though SubZero is so much cooler than Scorpion! Nice costume ;)

Not quite, MK1 or MK2 Scorpions is the "easiest" seeing as it's just a plain yellow garb for the most part

Whoa, very nice, here in Slovakia we don't celebrate Halloween and I'm too old for such things like costumes anyway.

But I love Mortal Kombat and your costume is really awesome. But the first is really funny. You used the soccer leg shields as hand shields. :) Original.

PVC Vinyl wrapped in yellow fleece.  For some parts I used gray cloth for background colour.  ;)

Nice bathroom. You must be loaded.

I wish  :(

too old?  in the states, the fun halloween/costume parties don't even start until you're 21 (or 18 at the cool clubs)

Holy shit, you could sell that thing online for 200 bucks, I bet. Of course, after making it, I wouldn't part with it.  I'd wear it every haloween, christmas, groundhogs day, thanksgiving, leif erikkson day...
