By weapon modding? You simply can't; whatever firemode the weapon has, it's pretty darn hardcoded, I'm afraid.

Try setting the reload time to as minimal as possible.
Hopefully that works.
I haven't tried it myself, but it's just an idea.
Good luck!  ;D

You cannot change a semi-automatic to automatic, and vice-versa.

The only way to change a semi-auto to automatic is changing fireinterval to 0, but that's a TERRIBLE IDEA, plus there is no need to reload. Setting the reload time to 0 does not work.

And wrong section. This is the weapon BALANCE section, it has nothing to do with modifications.

Huh? I could've sworn that I've seen a server that had an automatic Barrett.... I guess it was some fucked up place, or I was hallucinating.

Fireinterval 0. Which is super super fast, which is overpowered and unfair.

If it isn't so fast, then you are just thinking it is automatic when its actually semi-auto.

You can technically switch the two guns by modding their gifs and stuff so that the steyr takes the place of the ruger, for example and vice versa. That would technically be the closest thing to literally changing a semi-auto to an auto and vice versa once again. You can also take the high road and just mod the appearance into completely different guns.

Possible, but it'd only apply to you. Imagine using a Steyr Aug that was originally Barrett before modding. When you go online (unless the server also changes the weapon mod), the Steyr Aug would be exactly like the Barrett.

Ammo = 1

reload time = whatever you want the fireinterval to be

fireinterval = 0

hold trigger, there you have your automatic weapon

should work, haven't tried it yet :P

I think gun slot #2,3,4,6,9,0 are strickly auto, the other are strickly semi. No way to change it, but I sure wish that we could.

Just to let you know, this isn't even worth of testing, I can say it because I have tested this myself long ago. Official settings are best and game is most enjoyable if you dont go and do your own weapon mods which are like everything is automatic and one weapon is way more overpowered and every other weapon is useless. That doesn't even make sense.

^ Did he say he wasn't going to balance the other guns accordingly? Who said anything about making the other guns useless? That's bullshlt. You don't see people complaining that the ruger is underpowered because it's semiauto, do you?

Yes, it is. It is actually automatic. If you don't believe me, you can hold down your shoot button all the way. You'd realize after shooting once and upon reloading, the M79 would fire again instantly. A semi auto can't do this - if you hold down all the way your weapon is so called "jammed". To further prove this, give the M79 more than 1 ammo. You'd find that it fires like the MP5.
