I think that's an appropriate word...

Most of my forces surrounding their base

...  And this is the final score  ;D

2 hour long battle, and I ended up going through 7 other opponents before I got to this guy.

I had 4 Aircraft Carriers, 4 Rocketeers, about a hundred GIs, and at least 30-40 tanks of the Mirage and Prism variety.  I also had a cargo plane to bring in more troops, you can sorta see it's tail on the right hand side.  I also had 4 veteran Harrier Jump Jets flying in to attack during this time.

And all over the map, I had built the French "Grand Cannon" which is essentially a giant turret that kills most units in one shot.  Each Grand Cannon was guarded with about 10-20 GIs each, some Chrono Legionnaires, and 2-3 pillboxes.  The turrets were so close to some of the bases, I could actually use them offensively!

Overkill I think  :D

Take a look at the map as well, you'll see how great my control is over the whole area.  And my credit count it through the roof.
(Just for reference, a standard tank costs $700.  And one GI costs $200.)   :o  Think about that for a sec...  That's like...  A bajillion tanks.

So anyways, anyone else play RTSes?  Have any pics like this?  Even better question, any other Command and Conquer fans out there?   ;D

I dont to be mean but skirmish again bots doesn't prove anything. Do same againts real players in net game and you may got some respect from me. Anyway, I never had played Red Alert 2 so much so I can't even understand/know did you need skill to do that or not.

I do like RTS games alot. I just don't play those much because I want to have one mate to play with. I was beta tester of Red Alert 3 and disapointed to it, my opinion is that RA3 sux alot, but it's only my opinion.

I have played Supreme Commander, and it wasn't either so good that I expected, but not bad either.

I dont like C&C games either, they just aren't my type.

Mostly I like RTS games like AoE and Empire Earth. But only first EE release, EE2 and EE3 aren't my type. I just can't play those, they make me cry alot. But about AoE games, they are superb, I have all of those. And I would love to play AoE3 (including all expansions: Warchief and Asian Dynasties) with someone. Japan is my favourite in that game.

But if someone would like to try 2on2 with me, just let me know. (You'll find me IRC using same nickname (Therier). I'm in channels like #soldat.gather or #soldatfinland.)

Wasn't really a point of "skill".

The title reads "OVERKILL".

Red Alert 2, good times. It's been years since I last played that game. Maybe we should do like Therier said and have a match? Anyone up for some?  :)

I'm not sure of the map, but next I am gonna try and beat 8 brutal difficulty bots next.  I wanted to try medium first to see if I could even do that.

I'm not gonna lie, I suck at RTSes, I can't multitask worth a damn

I love RA2.

That being said, I'd get destroyed if I ever played online or with brutal difficulty AI on deezire mod. I'm a major turtler.

Lol... I'm a complete noob at the game, only battling computers on easy in skirmish. I recall being owned when I fought in a skirmish with Brutal - their apocalypse tanks and kirov airship owned me completely.

I remember having ALL three sides as part of my army (Ally, Soviet, Yuri) + All Battle Lab technology. Then I'd play with every enemy base - get a UFO over their power plants and ore refineries, destroying every single one of their defenses, spawn-killing their units, mind-controlling their grand cannon (using Yuri Prime vs France), promoting every single one of my units...

^ Doing the above, I can play for weeks, provided the enemy doesn't run out of money and therefore sell everything they have.

Try servers with custom maps. It's a whole different game - I don't find the game itself very enjoyable either.

After further looking at that screen, France, really? America is the way to go, dual paradrops is the best. Besides, the dug-in marines are great defense, and you can move them. And they are free. Grand cannon is so... defensive. I can't find my RA2 otherwise I would probably play.

Nah, a good 50% of maps have airport tech buildings, cap those, and then build like 2 grand cannons around each.  That's what I did, you can see it on the minimap.  I extended the rach of my base all the way across the map with those things.

I could actually use em to shoot into the enemy's base  :D
