I thought it was the greatest game of all time when it was released. It had smooth shooting, a decent selection of shooters. And the bomb-carrying gamemodes were fun for strategy... I thought it would be good forever.

But I was wrong. After about 400 hours of playing, I realized that most games simply boil down to crouch everywhere you go so you don't make noise, shoot at someone, reload, plant bomb, shoot some more. Rinse repeat. On such small maps, this gets dull. Not to mention the shooting is so terribly stupid sometimes it's not even funny. As in being able to hit a guy with an AK47 from the across the map going full auto, with 80-90% accuracy.

I find myself playing BF2 (and BF2 AIX2, a mod) more often these days.

Anyone else played it and now feels the same way?

I loved the game for like 3 months but some day I just stopped playing for like 3 weeks then tryed to get back in and I was doing like a game or so and then got sick of playing. so now I haven't touched it for like half a year. but now I'm thinking about trying to start playing BF 2142 (got sick of playing online cuz the players are fucking gay) again. but theise days I play Burout Paradise on my PS3

400 hours of playing :O

I get bored of any game after like 2 days lol..

I mainly only play BF2 though. once I learned how to fly jets properly I began to get bored of it (this was last week)

now that the school holidays are here I think im gonna be playing more often xD

anyways, it's still a solid game. I think the biggest thrill of it is dropping a load of troops via black hawk onto a CP and then picking them up.

The only fps I've ever liked was Medal of Honor: Allied Assault + Spearhead/Breakthrough

COD4 was great for 2 weeks, as with Rainbow6 Vegas 2.

I've decided to buy Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 whenever they come out....those are bound to be great.

Play about 5 FPS's you've basically played them all. This sounds like it falls into the CS category, from what you've said. I didn't buy it for above reason, and that I like other game types more. The only reason I think CoD4 was a good thing was because it knocked all the Halo outta the people at my school.

Yeah if you shot without aiming with the ironsight you can see the difference.

BF2 is better than all of these games. Honestly, I hate games that are coming out right now. It's horrible to keep spending money to update your PC like everyone 5 months, and everytime a new game comes out, buy it.

Honestly, even with the economic meltdown, people are just spending shet...

BF2 sucks. Teamwork in that game is a joke.

out of 32 players for each team one player drives the tank, one player flies the helicopter and 30 people get raped in the ass by both of those.

Unless you play vanilla, then its just replace helicopter/tank with fighter jet

You should seriously play the AIX mod, it basically redefines what BF2 really should have been.

BF2's community isnt that bad. in the server I play on, the squad feature is used well and people do actually team up instead of race to the hardware and teamkill to claim the fighter jet or whatever like in most servers

The only issue is the black hawks rarely getting used, people just ignore them and camp around waiting for the F35 or cobra to spawn when they can EASILY just take the helicopter thats already WAITING THERE

Well me and ds dude now play a mod called Allied Intent Xtended 2.0

I don't even play reg. BF2 anymore. It's THAT good.

And the jet raping stopped. In AIX you can get a kit that is armed with Stinger missles instead of anti tank missles. Takes out jets like nothing. Instant lock on, and unlike the AA platforms, a big target box doesn't form around you.

Makes a lot more people ground pound.

And the guns just kick ass.
