Mod Question

Ok i never dl a mod for Soldat before and i have a few questions.

When you dl a mod does it change soldat so you can't play it normal or is there an opsition of turning it off and if you had the mod while playing an online multiplayer game would it affect game play

it depends how you make it some do overide the original soldat but if you do it right you can make it so it dosnt.

and the only way a mod affects online play is the looks of the guns

If a weapon mod alters weapons online, the server's WM will be used, so if you want everyone online to contour to your weapon mod, you have to host your own server (or give it to someone else to host with). And yes, there are two ways; permanent overwrite or temporary (..\Soldat\Mods).

how do u make it temporary?

1. Recieve the files.

2A. If you get some folders that say things like "Gosteks-gfx," "Sfx," "Weapons-gfx," "Interface-gfx," "Txt," "Anims," or "Textures," but not necessarily all of these, make a new folder with a name that only consists of letters, numbers, -s, or _s. Then, put that folder in \soldat\mods\.

2B. If you get a folder with subfolders inside with names like "Gosteks-gfx," "Sfx," "Weapons-gfx," "Interface-gfx," "Txt," "Anims," or "Textures," put that in \soldat\mods\.

3. Go to start>run, and type the following:

root\soldat.exe -mod dir

root is your soldat directory, usually C:\Soldat.
dir is the name of the folder in \mods\.
