Simple topic spurred out of my curiosity.

How many of you still play the game? Are you guys just pubbing casuals, occasionaly trashing newbies? Are you a fan of some sub-gamemode, like climbing, Knife-only, TW? Or are you one of the hardcore quakenet regulars who surprisingly wander around these parts?

If you quit, you can still post. Why and how did you stop? Don't you miss it? And most importantly, what the f- keeps you here then?

I play a couple times a week, mostly in Pubs with the occasional Gather here and there. I typically hate servers with weapon mods (because they always destroy my skills with the weapons in normal mode) but seem to really enjoy the knife-only's.

Well, soldat refuses to play under 300 ping and spiking up to the 2000 on my laptop and I can't determine if it's my network or just the computer itself. I'll try using a different wi-fi connection later and figure that out.

Anyway, I decided to retire from R7 before that anyway and haven't really had the urge to play anways. I'll play on some other computers in primarily Fracs pub because I still admin it, but under a different name because I honestly don't like interacting with any pubbers.

So, the answer is yes rarely, but only in public games. Gather servers are blah.

I play maybe once a week. The game isn't as exciting or fun for me as it used to be. Plus, I work a lot. I don't have the time to play as much as I'd like too.

I'm always on QNet, but I never gather. Just hang out and chat with friends. When I do play, it's mainly in pubs. I always get frustrated and leave.

Occasionally I can scramble up a few friends to play a game. Usually some sub-game mode, just for kicks.

I quit a long long time ago. Can't stand it anymore, I just grew out of it I suppose. And I don't miss it at all...considering how much I've played it over the many years, I'm even suprised I played that long. I had fun though, I've been in a quite a lot of clans, had my laughs in the IRC and in-game and played some good games with the best players out there.

As to why I'm here. F**k knows, it's a bad habit I guess. I rarely post and no-one knows who I am anymore either. I can't get myself to delete the bookmark and forget about this place, even though this place is a joke compared to what it used to be back in the days.

I only play at weekends at night. Who the hell knows why? i just like to play that late. But I don't play that much as I used to play some months ago, then I played each day for 3 hours or more...

I'm not playing due to lots of tiresome work. I got myself into a little clan a while ago and that's what keeps me here.

I like playing in pub servers. Seems like every time you go in there, there's different people rotating gameplays and the such.

It's pretty fun to pick out who's the weakest and who's the strongest.

I usually play at least once a day, Hexer sometimes (though that is getting somewhat boring) and Infiltration if there is a good server going. (Thank you grave <3) Otherwise, I might do some random game mode for a few minutes, but if those two aren't open or active I don't. Still play pretty often because its the only thing I have that runs on this computer, most of my games are for my newer one.

I play Soldat occasionally nowadays, will be cutting off computer and gaming time.

I'm a pub-player, and I've always loved good INF matches or Zombie games. Recently I do look at CTF games as well.

Yeh, I haven't played in months. I might play again, but when there's Left 4 Dead and such available, Soldat takes the backseat y'know.
