Battle Eye Violation.
« on: December 17, 2008, 02:12:12 am »
It seems I am violating some law of Battle Eye's. I just upgraded with the patch, what else do I need?

Okay, here is an update.
I played again, there is something about HOOK in the violation.
Quite sorry about the double post. I thought it still merged posts like in the past.

3d hook ussualy comes because of XFire or graphical tools. try to turn them off, also, I think there's a sticky about 3d hook.

No, it does not come from Xfire, and it hasn't come from Xfire since 2 years ago when they patched it.

Haha, I am always looking forward to your replies to such posts. (Btw, BE wasn't integrated 2 years ago though.) :D

Anyway, disable all graphical overlay apps such as Fraps or ATI Tray Tools.

I did, and I still get the same error.
I stopped Rocketdock, got rid of StyleXP, and took out Royal Noir...

I just get annoyed at people who keep falsely stating it as a fix to the violation, which means the user ends up removing a program that isn't related to the problem.

Meh, I forget how long it's been.

Not to be mean, but having light conversation won't solve my issue.

Okay now. I have deleted everything, even Soldat to the very last core. I am going to reinstall it because after I deleted everything that could have possibly had something to do with the error, it still gave me the HOOK #0 error. I have now restarted the computer, and I am beginning to reinstall Soldat.

Give us a list of all the processes you've got running, if reinstalling Soldat doesn't help (which I strongly doubt it will).

It is all fixed. A mod may close this now.
I had to format half my computer though.
