There, that's more like it. Unleash the fucking fury mate!I doubt I have to explain myself. I did a whole bunch of stuff, from maps to league adminstrating and launching projects destined to fail, only to be picked up later on. I came up with the T-shirt idea for MM. Helped out in soldat.radio. Made movies. Maps. The works. I've met up with Amblin, who lives like a thousand miles away. I got drunk with n00bface who came all through Yurop to see text_killer and me.

Complaining about stiff mods (rightfully, I might add) is not enough - you fellows have to loosen up quite a bit aswell. This is not whining - this is hammering. A blunt rage, because the Soldat community has it's great side, with awesome people, but if they move on, without a sufficient reinforcement, a just-as-awesome generation to come, then we could just aswell leave right now and the last one should pull the cord out of the server. There are a handfull of people here who are alienated by the rest of the incrowd. Wraithlike, Mistercharles, Vij, El_Spec to name a few - it's not worth sharing a story if the audiance will just moan and nitpick.Or in short: loosen up or I'll f**king beat you loose.
I don't quite understand how ANY of that improves the quality of the threads in the lounge...Like at all... Sure, you improved the quality of soldat and other parts of the forums, but the rant you gave on the first pages was lounge specific. Since when did T-shirts have anything to do with the lounge?

Maybe you are the problem, maybe it's time to move on to greater forests you're too much of a large fish in a small, small pond. Maybe you should pack up and leave if you don't like it instead of changing everyone else? What the f**k do you expect from people? And how can you stand there and accuse everyone else of failing when you've done f**king nothing about it? Instead of b***hing, how 'bout you contribute to fixing the f**king problem?I dunno where it's from but this guy once had a quote "Whining doesn't do damage." And isn't that what YOU are doing? So how about you don't blame everyone else and try to f**king make a difference?I do agree with you, just not the way you're going about it, if you're going to b***h and moan then you're as bad as all of them.
From what I can tell the three most significant communities within Soldat are the SCTFL forums, Fracs forums and lastly the Soldat Forums. And alot of what you said is true but ultimately inconsequential to the greater scheme of things. Now the way I see, the true problem doesn't lie in the intelligence of the posters but rather in the over use of moderation that seems to take place within the community. This forum seems to focus on the organization and control of it's visitors more then the game it was created for. It seems to me that you are searching for a more intellectual forum and the topics that the members of this community have been creating just aren't cutting it for you. Do you really expect anything more from a demographic that probably averages between 10 and 13 years old? Sorry to say it but the "lounge" isnt on the tip of anything soldat related and i dont think glorifying this particualar forum as a crucial component to the success of Soldat is really going to make a difference. As others have said, you should probably just take a break or possibly find some other means of sparking your intellect.

[15:42] <Kazuki> That's also a problem, I think.[15:42] <Kazuki> Every portion of the Soldat community has its own container.[15:43] <Kazuki> Whereas back in the day SF used to be the main location for everyone, there are now forums for EVERYTHING.[15:43] <mar]> nah[15:43] <Kazuki> Independent mapping forums, gather forums, modding forums, fracs, etc.[15:43] <mar]> it's just[15:43] <mar]> well[15:43] <mar]> sf has some stuff left[15:43] <mar]> like beta and mapping[15:43] <mar]> and modding[15:43] <mar]> the rest is balls[15:46] <Kazuki> mar], I understand. All I'm saying is, wouldn't things be significantly more lively if all these other parts of the community were part of Soldat Forums?
who gives 2 s**ts about mapping/modding/beta?
he has eyebrows of authority + 5. Are you kidding?
