Brock the way she worded it, seems like the not being baptized was a final straw. If it was a big deal then him being in the process for being baptized would probably save the relationship instead of her ignoring that(Which apparently from his post she did). Honestly she could just be using it as a reason to break up with him, rather then telling him she just doesn't like him anymore or something she thinks is too mean to say. Little white lies and all that jazz.

To be honest I don't think you should need to pick one or the other. True love and true faith should work together hand in hand.

prolly, if it didn't then it wasn't meant to be

but ugh...  I don't know why people go through the paces to be religious.  I don't get it.  Forces you to go through crap like this

Well think of it like a marriage. If you love someone then its not a sacrifice to change some of the negative traits to make your partner happy because you care about their opinion of you.

heheh..listen to Asheru - Dear you ,and when intro starts, change the word hip-pop to religion. That's what you should do.
(only if you are REALLY faithful)

This song & video is just like this thread and my post.

Nothing makes sense.

If you ask me, dumb your religion and go out with the girl. Or
To be honest I don't think you should need to pick one or the other. True love and true faith should work together hand in hand.

Maybe Im not the right guy to answer this because I don't care about religions but you're matearlizing the girl and thinking which one you throw away. Im quite sure you wouldn't be so depressed if you dumbed your religion instead of the girl.

Think you could go back to jehovahs withnesses but you can't get the girl back. : |

Oh and you should stop trying to escape the reality. Only time, or someone you love can cure your broken heart.

I love how he said he didn't want this to turn into a religious thread and everyone did anyway.

Well think of it like a marriage. If you love someone then its not a sacrifice to change some of the negative traits to make your partner happy because you care about their opinion of you.

The only truly successful marriages are the ones where both partners accept eachother for who they are. People are who they are and trying to force somebody to be what you want them to be only makes things worse. Trying to improve yourself is never a bad thing but you should ultimately do it for you and not for others.

It seems like she is using your religion as a cop out for wanting to end the relationship. I highly doubt there is anything in your religion that forbids you from having a conversation with someone. As others have said if she is letting something that is completely out of your control stand in the way of you being together then she probably didn't love you as much as you did her. I really dont think you should be asking for advice on a internet forum. This is the type of thing that no one can guide you in. Just give it some time and things will get better.

It definitely will move on.

Though I've never been in serious relationships before, I do come across times when I do have strong feelings for another, and I still do have such moments going on. It's after some time, with some thinking/reflecting etc, that I would realize that moving on is the best option. And then I move on, either quite quickly or pretty slowly.

Yeah, well.

I may be a teenager but, my love is very very very very strong.
But last night.
I asked her, to atleast just be my friend.
But
she responded, "But i still want you to love me"
dont know if that means anything.
the last thing i said, would be, "you dont belive that i just want to be your friend"
in turn she responded "I do believe you! You just obviously dont understand."

I think that last message ment, "i love you but i cant say that because it will make me think about you"

She cant think about me because she is trying to be spiritual.

Give the relationship a rest then, at least for now. Only time can tell.

Well this may be of no help at all to you, but somehow I still feel the need to tell you:

I believe in love. I would give up pretty much anything for my girlfriend. (We're together for almost two years now). I'd say you should figure out what's more important to you: her, or your religion.

As you stated above, you're sticking with your religion. That's either a very stupid, or very brave thing to do. If you believe that's the right thing to do, then just quit whining, swallow the pain and cry when nobody can see you. The pain will go away... slowly. There's no way to speed up the process.

Well you see. if i choose her instead of my religion. it wont work. even if she loved me she would know that, she couldnt be with me if i wasnt in the religion. so i HAVE to be there no matter what happens.
