man.. breaking wrists hands or legs is nothing.
i broke my arms and legs so many times in my life it's not even worth mentioning.

one VERY unpleasent i've had was when i was at some junior athletics school event, i ran so fast at the 100m sprint that alittle after the finish line i tripped and slided, bruising every inch of my body from my ankle to my groin (left side). i was bleeding heavily but i'm such a badass that i didn't even care. anyway later on me and my class went on celebrating on some surface that seemed pretty solid - it was a salt pool with a pretty thick surface.. the moment i stepped on the surface i fell down to the salt pool that was deep enough that i neck-deep inside the water.
the feeling of blood and salt allover my left leg was a torture i will never forget, and it lasted for two hours. that's not really an injury but in means of pain it was a horrifying experience.

another incident i can recall is me being a retarded little child, i tripped and fell on a glass door, broke it, and ended up being pierced by a large pointy piece of glass in my lower lip.

yeah these two aren't really injuries but they were the most painfull experiences i've ever had. the worse injury i've had is what i wrote at the beginning of the thread - being hit by a bus.

It would be nice if people posted their "wounds" here. Sorta like a proof if the wound was there recently.

This is a vivid memory I have of an injury (the most serious), though it can't be considered a real big deal. I do have a photo of myself with a plaster or something over my wound but I can't be bothered to get in on the computer and post it. It is probably also because of that injury, that the left side of my forehead dents inwards slightly (it's unnoticeable now, the only way to know is through touch, but even so it's difficult to tell)

I don't know what really happened, but when I was really young, before the age of 7 (I think I was 5), if I'm not wrong I was opening and closing some drawers in a cupboard. Then some golden thing fell on my head, hit my left forehead, and I cried. I was bleeding and I was taken somewhere by my parents via a lorry to a clinic or something. I recall myself lying down somewhere rather bright, my mom and some doctors were around me.

Whatever happened, the injury didn't affect me. I'm fine now. The only medical thing that affects me now is my naturally not so strong heart. It's got to do with an operation when I was newborn (hence, I have a scar in the middle of my chest), but I should blame myself now for not exercising to strengthen back my heart. I can't take some carnival rides like Pirate Ship - it's too much for me. Other than that, I'm a completely normal person.

Yes, I have REALLY bad memory of whatever that happened before the age of 9.

Mine isn't so bad never broke anything just sprained both wrists, and I will share my burn story.

Well, in the Summer I work at a Minigolf/Go Cart/Batting Cage/Trampoline/Driving Range/Bumper Car place. One day (this was probably my second week working there) I was working the Go Cat track. After the end of the ride we turn them off (little knob on the engine in the back) remember this was a very budy day (constant rides). So I reach to turn it off, me being new wasnt really paying attention and I managed to put the underside of my arm against the exhaust pipe of the go cart, the skin instantly turned white and (kind of like a shrinky dink tightend) began to just send waves of hot pain.

Its not that bad but burns HURT.

Also when I was young I managed to gash my head open on an automen (spelling?) the thing that you set your feet on with a rocking chair.

Unfortunately I think I lost the picture of my arm gaping open :<

I was at work and it was really early ( I was working at a factory at the time), and I didn't really think through waht I was doing. I placed my arm on top on a box, trying to hold it down, while cutting along that top seam with my exacto knife. It slipped, and I felt 'warm' sliding down my hand.

I look down, and my arm had a 3 inch gash, right down to the bone, parralel with my forearm. It looked awesome, but I was bleeding a lot, so I went to the hospital. Your flesh kinda looks life fish meat, and my tendons would move when I moved my fingers. You could see a vein slithering through the muscle or whatever, and it pulsated as blood poured out the end.

I ended up severing my thumb nerve, so I can't feel anything there anymore o.0

EDIT: Nearly forgot to mention that the doctor stiching up my arm freaked me right out. I watched him just pop a needle into the wound to freeze it, and proceed to poke around with a cotton swab, and slide needles and that twine shit through my arm. Crrraaazyyy.

How does it feel?...

If you pinch it, I don't feel anything besides some skin pulling further down my thumb ;) If you pinch at he right spot further down my hand, I get this weird line of pain all the way up my arm. If I smash my scar off a desk or something, It REALLY hurts all the way up to my elbow and down just in front of my thumb where the fleshy bit is.

Well I had no injury's that were "my" fault, except broken finger while goal keeping.

I had two operations, one for the hearth and one for my back.
Well that's all past, I'm glad that I can still play games ;)

Mmmm...Lets see if I remember it all.
I broke my pinky knuckle on my right hand because a guy I was hitting ducked and I hit the closet. It got pushed about a centimeter back, didn't hurt much though. I then had my right wrist double broken in just one fall, my left wrist only once. Don't remember what happened on those occasions.
I had my left pinkie broken when we were playing something similar to dodgeball and short story shorter, extended pinkies aren't meant to stop balls head on.
Broke my middle finger just the same, only it was during basketball. I then sprained my left ankle jumping down stairs in my apartment building, and sprained my right arm while playing football with

Lucky I didn't kill someone that time.
Then there was nothing for years and years until my trainer broke my nose on training about a year ago.

Yes, I was a crazy daredevil kid that lacked the sturdy body to support his many physical stunts.

Disclaimer note : Those were just the breaks and sprains, there's some more cuts and burns, but I'll leave that out.

a couple of weeks ago I twisted my knee while skiing...and still hurts like the the third day...doctor said that if just a tendon that pulled but I dont trust those f**kers cuz I know that my tendon has "healed" and now its something else, cuz it fells just like something is blocking my knee from bending.

Appart form squwished fingers (like in car doors (happend COUNTLESS of times) also between rock and hammers), cuts from saws and muffler burns...never had anything as bad as my knee.

Paintball?

I went paintball a couple of months ago and got a shitload of welts everywhere. Mainly because at the end we played a 'game' where the two teams stood on mounds about 5-8 meters apart, and each person had to try stay on their mound as long as possible, until everyone had used all their ammo. It hurt. Alot.

Most of us were standing side-on, and one guy had an arm that was pretty much one big bruise.

I almost lost pretty much all my teeth after falling off the bike and smashing down on my jaw, luckily I had braces at the time and the doctors said that without them I'd look like a hockey player.

That was a while ago, no pictures. I have had nothing but a few lacerations past that.

I have a picture of the open wound on my ankle when I got a couple surgeries a couple years back.  If only I could get it off my cell phone.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams it is
still a beautiful world.  Strive to be happy.
